But the shots didn’t stop falling for Memphis. Hunter, 7 for his first 10 3-pointers, hit one from the corner while drawing the fourth foul on Mahaney and converted the four-point play. He was good again from beyond the arc 30 seconds later, pushing Memphis’ lead to 10 points with 8:09 left in the game. Memphis’ lead grew to 13 before Karaban’s fourth triple of the game with 3:37 left. Reed dunked twice to keep the game from getting out of hand, but fouled out with about three minutes left. McNeeley, quiet with just two points through the game’s first 37 and a half minutes, nailed back-to-back 3-pointers and cut the Huskies’ deficit to four with 1:38 to go. The Huskies forced a turnover down three with 14 seconds left, and Ball sent the game to overtime with a 3-pointer just before the buzzer. Pennsylvania legislators’ base salaries will crack the $110,000 mark for the first time starting next month due to inflation-based cost-of-living adjustments. Rank-and-file members of the state House of Representatives and Senate will receive annual salaries of $110,015.54 starting Dec. 1, according to soon-to-be published pay tables. Lawmakers receive their salaries in monthly payments. Current pay is $106,422.33, with the 3.38% raise coinciding with October’s year-over-year Consumer Price Index increase for the mid-Atlantic metro region that includes Pennsylvania. Under a 1995 amendment to Pennsylvania’s compensation law, pay for judges, legislators and most state-level officials is tied to regional CPI inflation. Lawmakers’ automatic raises are based on the October CPI data that is published in November, with the raises kicking in Dec. 1. Lawmakers who hold leadership positions within the House and Senate receive additional compensation that also rises with the CPI. The president pro tempore of the Senate and the speaker of the House will have salaries of $171,741.28 as of next month. The four floor leaders – both parties in both chambers – will see their pay rise to $159,398.47, with each caucus’ officers receiving slightly smaller premiums over base lawmaker pay. Pennsylvania’s legislature is one of the largest and highest-paid in the nation, with 203 members of the House and 50 state Senators. Modern Family remains one of the best sitcoms of all time and, thanks to streaming, people can continue to revisit it. The show featured a wonderful ensemble cast that included Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, who played Lily Tucker-Pritchett. Today, the actress is "grateful" for her experience on the Emmy-winning show, but she may not recommend child acting to everyone. Aubrey Anderson-Emmons was just four years old when she took over the role of Lily amid Season 3 of the aforementioned show, and she played it through the remainder of the series. As her character grew up she became a fan-favorite for her sass and sarcasm, even at a young age. Anderson-Emmons herself also received praise for her work. The former child star, along with her mother, recently appeared on Trisha Paytas’ Just Trish podcast , where the host and influencer mentioned that she was thinking about getting her young kids into acting since she was never able to when she was their age. The veteran Modern Family cast member didn't totally try to dissuade the social media maven from moving forward with that plan, but she did give her take on why Paytas should wait until her kids are older: I would say wait 'til they know what they want to do. ... Modern Family has brought me so many blessings into my life, and I'm forever grateful. But I think kids need to have a normal experience, and I don't know if that's the way to do it. And I feel like I definitely was more troubled when I became older because of the show. Those are reasonable thoughts. I can’t imagine having that kind of pressure or no control over things. Still, it’s clear that Aubrey Anderson-Emmons still holds her former show near and dear to her heart, and she still hangs out with her TV family from time to time. Yet the now-17-year-old actress is not shy about admitting what life was like immediately after Modern Family, and it sounds like it wasn’t easy: I was like 12 [when the show ended]... I would just say wait, because I felt I didn’t really know what I wanted to do after the show, and I think figuring out your hobbies and experiences for yourself is important, not having your parents choose for you. And it’s not like [my mom] chose that for me, because I said I wanted to do it. But it’s like, how do you choose what you want to do for eight years when you’re 4 years old? She did indeed spend a good chunk of her childhood on the beloved ABC show and was almost a teenager when the series wrapped. For a while, acting was all she knew, so one can understand why it was tough for her to find another outlet after the show ended. I can’t blame her for recommending that others hold off on the child acting until they're of an age that they're truly cognizant of whether or not they want it. Anderson-Emmons might have not known what she wanted after the series ended, but she is making sure to get as much normal school experience as she can. The young actress went to prom earlier this year, and many fans had sweet comments referencing her show and her TV dads, Cam and Mitch. She also has not acted since the series' conclusion in 2020, aside from the short Tailwinds this year. On that note, though, it seems like she's content with making decisions for herself in regards to what she really wants to do with her life. New York, however, may divorce him. Rodgers underwent Achilles surgery in 2023. Clearly, the injury could still be affecting him. Through 12 starts, he has a 3-9 record and has the fourth-lowest QBR (48.5) of his career. The four-time MVP also seems to be losing his arm strength. According to Pro Football Focus , he has completed 41.1% of his passes between 10-19 yards, 38th out of 40 eligible QBs (min. 22 attempts). Spotrac estimates cutting or trading Rodgers with a post-June 1 designation would yield $14M in dead cap in 2025 and $35M in 2026. Expect the Jets to move on from him despite the expenses. On a Sunday episode of "NFL GameDay," NFL Media's Ian Rapoport said Rodgers returning to the Jets next season is a "long shot." Prediction: Jets cut Rodgers, and he signs with a QB-needy team, perhaps the Raiders or Titans. Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker Tucker seemed automatic through his first 12 seasons, but he's no longer one of the most accurate kickers in the league. In Sunday's 24-19 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, Tucker missed an extra point and two field goals. Following the loss, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh told the media he's not planning on replacing Tucker. Unless Tucker snaps out of his funk, Harbaugh should reconsider. Tucker's kicking woes could cost Baltimore (8-5) in the playoffs. Through his first 13 games, the five-time first-team All-Pro has made a career-low 70.4% of his field-goal attempts. Prediction: Ravens bench Tucker before regular season ends and move on from him in 2025. L.A. should try to trade him before cutting him. Teams that need help at edge-rusher (Cardinals and Bengals?) may be interested in the former Pro Bowler. Prediction: The Chargers trade or release Bosa. New Orleans Saints QB Derek Carr Through his first nine starts, Carr has completed 68.1% of his passes for 14 TDs and four interceptions, but he's 4-5. Carr is in the second year of a four-year, $150M deal, making him a potential cut candidate in 2025. If he's still on the roster on the third day of the league year in March, his 2025 salary ($30M) becomes fully guaranteed. (His contract contains a no-trade clause.) Saints backup QB Spencer Rattler didn't look like the answer when he filled in for an injured Carr earlier this season. The rookie out of South Carolina and Oklahoma went 0-3 in three starts, tossing one TD and two picks. Spotrac projects the Saints will be $77.39M over the cap in 2025. Instead of signing a free agent, they may draft a QB, perhaps Texas' Quinn Ewers or Georgia's Carson Beck. Prediction: Saints release Carr and draft his replacement.phototechno November 2024.
