777 fortuneox com For the fourth time in five LaLiga matches, Barcelona have dropped points. All the while, Real Madrid are racking up wins to close up the title race in Spain . In the Premier League , it was another defeat for Manchester United , and another defeat for Tottenham Hotspur , as England 's current chaos clubs continue to spiral. The Bundesliga , meanwhile, is proving far more predictable as Bayern Munich notched another victory -- but, as has become a trend for the Bavarians, it wasn't easy. What else did you miss around Europe this weekend? ESPN's Sam Tighe, Alex Kirkland and Constantin Eckner recap all the action in this edition of ESPN's Weekend Review. Editor's Picks Spurs' dispirited loss to Chelsea is a microcosm of the Ange era 2h James Olley Arsenal ratings: Saliba's set-piece prowess strikes again but lacklustre Gunners drop points 6h Danny Lewis Ashworth pays price for Man United recruitment as Ratcliffe shows ruthlessness 8h Mark Ogden Premier League There's been a lot of talk this week about what kind of a team Tottenham really are. Sublime? Silly? A bit of both? Most don't have an answer, as it's hard to gauge a team that can beat Manchester City 4-0 and Aston Villa 4-1, yet lose just about every other game. That made Sunday's primetime home bout with an emergent Chelsea side a golden chance to set the record straight, and perhaps they did -- just not in the way they would have wanted. They got off to the perfect start, scoring twice in the first 11 minutes thanks in part to two bizarre Marc Cucurella slips. But Chelsea then scored four without reply as Spurs fell to pieces, giving away two penalties and watching agonisingly as their two best centre-backs -- Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven -- exited the fray injured. It's perhaps the way those injuries came about that summed up Spurs best: Romero appeared to hurt his groin while executing a drag and turn in his own penalty box, while Van de Ven's hamstring pinged late on as he was forced into yet another long sprint to chase down Chelsea on the counter. The size of Ruben Amorim's task at Man United was made ever clearer on a helter-skelter evening at Old Trafford, in a match that had it all. Forest were excellent value for a famous victory -- their first on this ground since 1994 -- but were certainly nudged in the right direction by a horror day for André Onana between the sticks. There were plenty to pick from in the Premier League this weekend, but the best of the bunch was Lamptey's opener for Brighton & Hove Albion against Leicester City . The right-back collected an errant cross from the opposite flank, ducked inside and, from 18 yards out and an angle well wide of goal, curled an incredible effort into the top corner with his weaker left foot. TARIQ LAMPTEY THAT IS BRILLIANT. 👏 📺 USA Network | #LEIBHA pic.twitter.com/xWMNnD8epi Among a sea of excellent Chelsea performances, Sancho stood out. His mesmeric quick feet absolutely bamboozled the Spurs defence -- only Cole Palmer completed more dribbles on the night -- and his goal was a stunner: He squeezed past three defenders before curling a 20-yard effort in off the post. -- Tighe LaLiga Barcelona's 2-2 draw at Real Betis was enough to have Hansi Flick "leaving his technical area, shouting and gesticulating." At least, that was the reason given in the referee's report for the coach's 66th-minute red card, his first since his arrival in Spanish football. And that was with Barça leading 0-1 after Robert Lewandowski 's opener. It only got worse from there for the LaLiga leaders. A 2-2 draw at the Estadio Benito Villamarín -- with Betis levelling in the 94th minute -- made it ten points dropped in Barça's last five league games. Later on Saturday, Real Madrid were waiting to take advantage. After struggling to get going at Montilivi, they eventually ran out comfortable 3-0 winners against last year's title contenders Girona , thanks to goals from Jude Bellingham -- his fifth in five league matches -- Arda Güler and Kylian Mbappé . That last goal, a well-taken, low shot from the right-hand side, after a logic-defying assist from Luka Modric , relieved some of the pressure on Mbappé. Despite all the criticism, he's now scored nine goals in 15 league appearances. Those two results left it tighter than ever at the top: Barcelona have 38 points from 17 games, Madrid have 36 from 16. With neither team at their best, there'll be plenty more twists to come. With an hour left to play at the Metropolitano on Sunday, Atletico Madrid were 3-1 down to Sevilla. Then two players, Antoine Griezmann and substitute Samuel Lino, combined to change the game. Griezmann pulled a goal back; Lino made it 3-3 with just four minutes on the pitch; and then the Brazilian assisted Griezmann for a dramatic 94th minute winner. The comeback leaves Atleti right in the title race, just a point behind Madrid. There were plenty of contenders here -- Sandro Ramírez's second goal in Las Palmas' 2-1 win over Real Valladolid might be the hardest-struck shot in LaLiga this season -- but only one winner, the nonchalant backheel flick from substitute Assane Diao which gave Betis their 2-2 draw with Barça in added time. It isn't just that Bellingham opened the scoring in Madrid's win at Girona with his fifth goal in a month. He also played the assist for Güler's second, and was Madrid's best all-round player until he was substituted with discomfort in the 55th minute. There's no question: Bellingham has been Madrid's best, most consistently influential player this season. Bundesliga Before drawing with Borussia Dortmund in Der Klassiker last weekend, Bayern Munich were seemingly on a roll, with seven consecutive wins and seven consecutive clean sheets. Things have become a little more frantic since, though. First, Bayern were eliminated from the DFB-Pokal on Tuesday, losing 1-0 at home to Bayer Leverkusen thanks in part to an early red card shown to goalkeeper Manuel Neuer . Then the Bundesliga leaders hosted third-from-bottom Heidenheim and had a much tougher time besting the minnows than expected. While Bayern dominated the game at Allianz Arena for the most part, they invited Heidenheim back into things shortly after the interval when a series of mistakes led to an equaliser. Before that, struggling Heidenheim had barely ventured into the opposition half. Eventually, Bayern were able to overcome the visitors who sit third from bottom, and yet, the final scoreline of 4-2 felt like a setback for a side that endured these kinds of wild, up-and-down games at the beginning of the season, before manager Vincent Kompany was able to increase the defensive stability of his team. Individual mistakes like Neuer's ill-advised run outside the box on Tuesday or Dayot Upamecano 's misplaced pass before Heidenheim's opener can happen, but fans and observers rightfully expect more from this side. That said, Bayern have still managed to extend their lead in the Bundesliga standings to six points. Eintracht Frankfurt only drawing with FC Augsburg at home have boosted the Bavarians' margin at the top. Things were not looking promising for an already-wounded Stuttgart side, as last season's runners-up trailed by two goals after 48 minutes. As it turned out, Stuttgart manager Sebastian Hoeness made an inspired substitution by bringing on striker Nick Woltemade at half-time. The 22-year-old led a dramatic comeback at MHP Arena, scoring two goals before Atakan Karazor capitalised on a horrendous mistake by Union goalkeeper Frederik Rønnow . Just like in the Klassiker the previous Saturday, Gittens broke the deadlock in Borussia Dortmund's game once again. The 20-year-old England youth international received a pass from Nico Schlotterbeck and then fooled both Joe Scally and Franck Honorat with a few stepovers before delivering a beautiful strike into the top right corner. While Kompany decided to rest a few of his regular starters, including Musiala, the record German champions needed the 21-year-old's magic in the second half against Heidenheim. He scored twice after coming on for Thomas Müller in the 51st minute, putting to rest any suggestion that Musiala is not already the most important piece in the Bayern puzzle, and it will likely stay that way for years to come. -- Eckner What else you missed this weekend While the Intercontinental Derby between Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray is considered the most important matchup in Turkish football, any match between the three Istanbul clubs is heated and full of emotion. The clash between Beşiktaş and Fenerbahçe on Sunday was no different. José Mourinho and his side travelled across the Bosporus to play at Tüpras Stadyumu. Led by Edin Dzeko up front, Fenerbahçe appeared to be the stronger team during the first 45 minutes but did not manage to score a goal, which allowed Beşiktaş -- who are currently sitting outside the European qualification places -- to stay in the game and eventually strike first thanks to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. The former Arsenal and Liverpool midfielder had been brought on by Serdar Topraktepe only three minutes before scoring the deciding goal. Of course, it would not have been a derby without a red card. Gedson Fernandes was sent off five minutes into stoppage time. Fenerbahçe slipped to only their second league defeat this season, with the other loss in the intercontinental derby against Galatasaray in October. Galatasaray are seemingly pulling away with the lead in the Süper Lig standings, as they edged out a 3-2 win over Sivasspor on Sunday. -- Eckner Friday's 2-1 win for Atalanta over AC Milan will have been doubly sweet for Charles De Ketelaere . Not only did his towering back-post header open the scoring and help La Dea on their way to the top of the Serie A table, but it was a goal that would have meant a little extra to him -- as it came against his former club. The Belgium international's time in Milan was a noted disappointment; he signed for a €35 million transfer fee in 2022 but struggled to live up to the expectations that price tag created and was sent to Atalanta just a year later on loan with an option to make the move permanent. He had a solid first season in Bergamo, helping them win the UEFA Europa League , and has enjoyed an exceptional start to this one, notching four goals and eight assists in his past eight appearances. This goal (and win) against Milan really emphasised his dramatic change in fortunes. -- TigheRENTON, Wash. — Man, it looked dirty. And the roles of villain and victim were quickly assigned. On Dec. 1, Jacksonville quarterback Trevor Lawrence slid just past Houston's 45-yard line in an attempt to give himself up, only to be drilled in the head by linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair. The play resulted in an ejection and three-game suspension for Al-Shaair, and a concussion for Lawrence that will likely end his season. It was exactly the kind of hit modern NFL rules are designed to prevent ... but is it possible the villain was mislabeled? There are often two types of reactions to controversial moments that go viral. The first is the immediate, instinctual response fueled by emotion. The second is the one following a deep breath and an appeal to reason. Al-Shaair, who, yes – has a history of personal fouls – prompted almost unanimous social-media scorn in the minutes and hours following that play. But people in the league – including Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith – acknowledged that these are split-second decisions defenders have to make. Their job is to take down the runner in the open field, and they don't know when or if the QB is going to take himself down. Said Geno: "I feel for both sides, man. As a quarterback, I understand that you're trying to protect yourself and the guy hits you and you're not expecting it. So, that's probably the most vulnerable you'll be when you're sliding, you're not expecting to get hit. But also as a defender, you're trying to get the guy to the ground. It's a split-second decision, like you said. A lot of guys play with a lot of aggression, so to dial that back would kind of take away from the player. I think it's a great conversation to be had, but ultimately you just don't want that type of stuff to happen." This is not to exonerate Al-Shaair, who issued an apology for the hit. It is rather meant to examine an issue more nuanced than it may seem. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has faked a slide and faked going out of bounds, only to pick up extra yards in the process. He essentially took advantage of the fear defenders have of hitting a quarterback a quarter second too late and losing a chunk of their livelihood as a result. Remember, the NCAA outlawed such deception after Pitt quarterback Kenny Pickett faked a slide en route to a 59-yard touchdown run. But in the NFL, said trickery is still legal. Mentioning Mahomes by name, Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons pointed this out earlier in the week and called for changes. Could the NFL penalize fake slides the way the NBA does flops? It might be hard to adjudicate, but it also might make it more fair for guys on the defensive side of the ball. "It's difficult being a defensive player in this league now. We've got all these different rules and how to land and how to hit and when to not hit and how to tackle. It's really difficult," Seahawks linebacker Uchenna Nwosu said. "I'm sure that player had no intentions of hurting Trevor. But, I think from a defensive player, I think quarterbacks have got to slide a little earlier. You can't wait until the last second to test the guy because he's going to go his hardest." Seahawks backup quarterback Sam Howell agreed that Lawrence might have slid a little too late on that play. He emphasized the need to slide early but considers this whole situation to be a "flaw in football right now." "When you look at it, it looks terrible, but in reality, it was kind of a late slide and he was going to hit him," said Howell of the Lawrence hit. "I mean, also you never want to get hit in the head. I don't know, it's an unfortunate play and it happens pretty often in the NFL." The bottom line is this: The NFL is a quarterback's league, and these rules are designed to protect what may be the most important position in team sports. If that means harsh penalties for a defensive player with no malicious intent, the league is going to accept that. But quarterbacks need to be smart about their slides, too, and faking them shouldn't be allowed. There was nothing good about that hit on Lawrence. Maybe something good will come out of it.AI is a game changer for students with disabilities

On ‘ Morning Joe ’, the panelists discussed the potential fracture of the political alliance between US President- elect Donald Trump and Tesla CEO Elon Musk while prompted by Donald Trump's recent speech asserting his control over the partnership, reported Huffpost. ET Year-end Special Reads Top 10 equity mutual funds of the year. Do you have any? How India flexed its global power muscles in 2024 2024 was the year India became the talk of America According to Huffpost, host Jonathan Lemire noted that the lighthearted remarks made by US President- elect Donald Trump about SpaceX CEO Elon Musk being the ‘Shadow President’ indicated his insecurity regarding Elon Musk's growing influence. The conversation then pretty swiftly shifted to what could lead to a breakup with panelist Sam Stein suggesting that their relationship is largely based on convenience as Donald Trump hugely appreciates Elon Musk's financial support and media platform. Additionally, Sam Stein also issued a warning that if Elon Musk begins to overshadow Donald Trump in terms of influence, severe tensions will likely arise for sure, asserted Huffpost. Jonathan Lemire pretty humorously proposed that a Time Magazine cover portraying Elon Musk as the true leader could be a breaking point. The panelists also highlighted that while Elon Musk has supported Donald Trump politically, any perception of him stealing the spotlight could actually jeopardize their alliance, noted Huffpost. This recent dynamic actually reflects a broader concern about power and influence within their relationship while both figures are known for their desire for attention. Authorities in Pakistan launch operation to clear Khan supporters from capitalSpeaker laughs off rumor she suffered a strokeA MAGA influencer who appeared multiple times on Fox News criticizing crime and homelessness in San Francisco was booked into jail on Monday on suspicion of pimping a woman for sex work. Ricci Lee Wynne, 39, also known as Raw Ricci, was taken into custody shortly after he arrived at San Francisco International Airport on Sunday night, according to an emailed police statement. Wynne was charged with pimping and pandering following a search of his apartment. According to police reports cited by the San Francisco Standard , Wynne’s arrest came after he was investigated in the sexual assault of a 15-year-old. At the time of his arrest, Wynne was traveling with an adult woman, whom police believe he was pimping out for sex work. The woman was detained and then released, according to San Francisco police. It’s unclear if Wynne has an attorney representing him. Jail records show he remained in custody on Tuesday. During their search, detectives found three cell phones that allegedly belonged to Wynne and that revealed evidence that he was involved in sex work, including rates and services, according to the Standard. Police said Wynne denied owning the cell phones and being a pimp, the Standard reported. In 2019, Wynne was arrested and accused of possessing weapons and advertising a “cocaine buffet” on Snapchat, the Mercury News reported . He pleaded guilty and was released in 2021 on time served and ordered into a drug treatment program after his attorney called for compassion and detailed his struggles with substance abuse. Wynne has garnered more than 100,000 followers on Instagram and over 29,000 followers on X with content showing him harassing homeless people and people using drugs in the streets of San Francisco’s SoMa and Tenderloin districts. One video shows Wynne opening the door of a woman’s car without her permission as he jokes about its disrepair. Other news outlets have retreated behind paywalls. Bells are ringing. Snow is glistening. But you’re bummed out. You could be suffering from a case of the holiday blues, which experts say is not uncommon. A strained relationship with family, for example, can make this time of year pretty lonely. The holidays are expensive, and financial woes can cause major stress. Anxiety about holiday anything can fuel depression and worsen existing mental health concerns. “A lot of people at certain years can find the holidays to be more challenging than they have experienced in past years,” said Shilagh Mirgain, a psychologist at UW Health in Madison, Wisconsin. “It’s important to recognize the common humanity that others, too, are struggling. You’re not alone.” Here’s what experts say you can do to make your holiday season a little more bearable, if not cheery. Spending an extended amount of time with family is hard to avoid around the holidays, Mirgain said, but there are ways to make it a little easier. “Certainly this year, I think with the recent election, there’s a lot of divisiveness and discord, and you’re probably having to interact with family members that have really opposing beliefs,” she said. “That can bring up strong emotions.” Think about the boundaries you want to set: What kind of contact do you want to have with your family and how long are you prepared to be around them? It’s also important to give yourself permission to exit the event — and have some strategies in place, she said. For example, if you need some space, go on a walk or run some errands. And if stressful conversations come up, have some language ready to go to draw your boundaries quickly and firmly. “You could say, ‘Thanks for asking, but I don’t talk politics over the holidays,’” Mirgain suggested. The holidays can be difficult for people who are grieving or don’t have anyone nearby with whom to celebrate. “Loneliness and isolation can feel exacerbated during the holiday season when you look around and it seems like everyone’s getting together and you don’t have plans, or you’re not looking forward to your plans,” Mirgain said. Find ways to connect with people if that’s something you’re craving, like scheduling calls with people across the country or volunteering in your community. “There’s so much opportunity to give back during this time, and I think generosity is one of the best things we can do for our own well-being,” she said. And if you’re grieving the death of someone close to you, the holidays can be the perfect time to reflect on that person's legacy, said Dr. Ellen Lee, a geriatric psychiatrist at UC San Diego Health. "Try to honor that person by visiting their grave site or doing something they really loved to do, and then find people to share those memories with,” Lee said. She also advises people not to tamp down feelings but let yourself grieve. Gifts, dinners, decorations — it’s all a lot to keep track of around this time of year, and it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Those extra expenses and get-togethers can put more stress on your mental health. For milder symptoms of depression, anxiety or mood issues, lean on tried-and-true methods of self-care, experts said, such as spending time doing something you love or watching a movie. But it's important to reach out for help if you start to feel mounting financial anxiety or intensifying symptoms that impair your ability to function. Early intervention can keep them from intensifying, Mirgain said, adding that if you have suicidal thoughts, reach out to your provider. Remember, your holidays don’t have to be a Hallmark movie. Give yourself permission to do it differently this year, Lee said. “We have so many goals, so many targets,” she said. “Getting all the gifts, decorating the house perfectly ... sometimes it’s helpful to sort of focus on the most important part of it.” That can look different depending on who you are: The most important part may be spending time with people you don’t get to see often, or having a nice meal with your favorite foods. Lee emphasized that it is fine to have a low-key celebration. “I ask people, ‘What’s the best part of the holiday?’" she said, "It’s not usually about the decorations or all these extra things that we all spend a lot of time worrying about.”

The former lawmaker who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the 8th National Assembly, Shehu Sani , has berated President Bola Tinubu for saying he is uninterested in probing military spending under his predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari. Naija News reported that Tinubu, during a media chat on Monday , said he would not probe military expenditure under Buhari but would focus on their achievement. However, in an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today programme on Tuesday , Shehu Sani said Tinubu’s decision is tantamount to rewarding larceny and corruption. According to Sani, Tinubu’s stance was contradictory to his probe of the past activities of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) under embattled apex bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele. He said, “ When you find yourself in this position, especially with a nation facing these critical issues like ours, you still have to go backward and see how public funds that were looted have been recovered and I think we have been doing that with what has happened in the CBN the last time. “But when one of the panelists questioned him (Tinubu) about the looting, the mismanagement of security and defense forces under the Buhari administration, which he needs to probe, I think he made it clear that he is more interested in moving forward than moving backward. It’s a bit contradictory; you can move backward in CBN but you can’t move backward in security. “I believe that what should have been is that if he is being provided with evidence that shows that there are clear cases of corruption, he would move to recover public funds. That is what the answer was supposed to be. “If you say that whatever happened in the past has gone, it is more like rewarding larceny which he has done by saying he is not going to go back.” Sani also said that President Tinubu should be held accountable for all his policies and the actions of his ministers since he claimed all his cabinet members are performing. He added, “ He (Tinubu) should be held responsible for what has happened under his government. He has economic reforms. He has started, there are lots of pains, Nigerians are suffering but it is a fact all over the world and in history: economic reforms have never been popular with the citizens.”Tweet Facebook Mail Australians could make nearly $1 billion selling their unwanted gifts this festive season, new research shows. This strategic evolution positions Spectral at the forefront of the quantum era, uniting proprietary technologies in quantum cloud computing, distributed quantum ledger databases, and plasmonic quantum chips. With the addition of renowned quantum physicist Dr. Moshik Cohen as Chief Technology Officer and the groundbreaking Verdant Quantum initiative, Spectral Capital is pioneering scalable, sustainable, and practical quantum computing solutions. From Incubator to Operator: Spectral's New Vision Spectral Capital has redefined its role in quantum technology by moving beyond incubation to develop, own, and operate its proprietary quantum systems. "This is not just a rebranding-it is a bold leap into the future of quantum computing," said Jenifer Osterwalder, CEO. "Spectral Capital is now delivering a fully integrated platform with technologies like the Vogon Decentralized Edge and Hybrid Cloud [ https://www.spectralcapital.com/vogon ], its embedded Distributed Quantum Ledger Database (DQLDB), plasmonic System-On-a-Chip (SOC) architecture, and energy-efficient quantum algorithms. These innovations bridge the gap between classical and quantum systems, offering the scalability and environmental responsibility required for the quantum era." Introducing Room Temperature Quantum Transfer and Compute To drive its ambitious vision, Spectral announced earlier this month the addition Dr. Moshik Cohen, an expert in quantum state dynamics and plasmonic computing as CTO. The Company is fusing the revolutionary initiative from Verdant Quantum to eliminate the need for cryogenic cooling by leveraging room-temperature plasmonic chips. This solution bridges classical and quantum computing with CMOS-compatible plasmonic processors allowing these chips harness energy waves controlled by light, called plasmons, to deliver near-light-speed data processing with unmatched precision and efficiency-all while dramatically reducing energy consumption and costs. Transformative Innovations Powering Spectral's Platform The world's first plasmonic-ready distributed quantum ledger database, Vogon, provides secure, scalable, and semantically enriched data management. Its key features include: * Deterministic Concurrency for low-latency performance. * Post-Quantum Cryptography with SPHINCS+ for unparalleled security. * Consensus Algorithms to ensure robust and scalable decentralized operations. The Vogon DQLDB seamlessly connects legacy systems to quantum ecosystems, enabling industries such as finance, logistics, and healthcare to harness quantum efficiencies today. Plasmonic System-On-a-Chip (SOC) Spectral's miniaturized plasmonic SOC technology redefines the potential of its Vogon Cloud data centers, enabling near-light-speed processing at room temperature. These chips will power Spectral's edge and hybrid compute data centers across 16 global regions, which will also serve as test beds for sustainable quantum computing. "This innovation addresses the global call for environmentally friendly quantum solutions, reducing infrastructure costs while increasing processing power," Brehm emphasized. Quantum Algorithms and Collective Intelligence Spectral's proprietary quantum algorithms leverage cooperative distributed inferencing and analytic tomography to unlock real-time insights. By integrating these algorithms with Vogon DQLDB, Spectral enables industries to optimize operations, from autonomous vehicles to investment portfolio management. Why Spectral Capital? The quantum computing market is projected to grow from $885.4 million in 2023 to $12.62 billion by 2032, with a CAGR of up to 34.8%. Spectral's technologies are poised to capture this growth while addressing urgent industry demands for scalable, cost-effective, and sustainable quantum solutions. "Over the next decade, quantum computing will redefine the global economy," said Brehm. "Spectral Capital is at the epicenter of this transformation. With Dr. Moshik Cohen, and our ecosystem partners, we are building not just for the future-we are building the future ." For all previous Pro Picks, head here . Playoff berths, draft positioning and more are up for grabs in Week 17. There’s going to be plenty of football on television this holiday week with the NFL playing games on five out of six days, starting with a doubleheader on Christmas Day featuring four of the AFC’s top five teams. Patrick Mahomes and the two-time defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs visit Russell Wilson and the Pittsburgh Steelers on Wednesday. Then, two-time NFL MVP Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens take on C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans. The Bears host the Seahawks on Thursday night and there are three games on Saturday, making Sunday’s schedule light at nine games. The Lions-49ers wrap up the weekend on Monday night. Pro Picks goes for another winning week. Line: Chargers minus 4 The Chargers would clinch a wild-card spot with a victory over the Patriots, who battled hard against the Bills. Los Angeles is 9-2 against the spread as favorites. Justin Herbert is 9-0 ATS in the Eastern time zone in his career. The Patriots have lost eight straight home games in December. BEST BET: CHARGERS: 23-16 Line: Bengals minus 3 Joe Burrow and the Bengals have to win to keep their slim playoff hopes alive. They’re favorites for the 12th time this season despite a losing record. The Broncos would clinch a wild-card berth with a win. They’re 11-4 ATS. UPSET SPECIAL: BRONCOS: 23-22 Line: Chiefs minus 3 The Chiefs can set a franchise record for wins in the regular season and wrap up the No. 1 seed along with home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs as they continue their quest for a third straight Super Bowl title. Kansas City got another playmaker when wide receiver Marquise Brown made his season debut. Mahomes is 3-0 with 14 touchdowns and no interceptions in his career vs. Pittsburgh. The scuffling Steelers are trying to snap a two-game losing streak after missing an opportunity to clinch the AFC North. Wide receiver George Pickens should return from a hamstring injury and he’ll open up the passing game for Wilson and the offense. CHIEFS: 24-20 Line: Ravens minus 5 1/2 The Ravens have won five in a row over the Texans, including 34-10 in a divisional playoff game last season. Baltimore can move into first place in the AFC North with a win and loss by Pittsburgh. But Jackson and Derrick Henry face a tough challenge against Houston’s defense. Stroud and the Texans are reeling after losing receiver Tank Dell to a devastating knee injury. RAVENS: 23-19 Line: Seahawks minus 3 1/2 The Seahawks have to win to maintain slim playoff hopes. The Bears have lost nine straight. Geno Smith and Jaxon Smith-Njigba should have a big day against Chicago’s pass defense. SEAHAWKS: 26-20 Line: Rams minus 6 A four-game winning streak has the Rams on the verge of securing the NFC West. Los Angeles aims to avenge a lopsided loss to Arizona in Week 2. The Cardinals were eliminated from the playoffs and are reduced to playing spoiler. With Kyren Williams leading the rushing attack, the Rams don’t have to rely on Matthew Stafford’s passing as much. RAMS: 26-16 Line: Bills minus 10 The Bills will know going in if they have a shot at the AFC’s No. 1 seed. If the Chiefs beat the Steelers and lock it up, Buffalo’s main priority will be keeping Josh Allen and everyone healthy. Still, they can rest in Week 18. After a subpar effort against the Patriots, the Bills can’t take Aaron Rodgers and the Jets lightly. BILLS: 27-16 Line: Raiders minus 1 The Raiders already hurt their draft positioning by beating the Jaguars last week. Another win could further knock them down and negatively impact their quest for a franchise quarterback. But coach Antonio Pierce wants to win and the players don’t care about draft slots. The Saints can’t get to the end of the season fast enough. RAIDERS: 20-16 Line: Buccaneers minus 8 The Panthers have embraced the spoiler role and coach Dave Canales will try to derail his former team’s playoff hopes. Bryce Young keeps improving and Chuba Hubbard is having a career year. The Buccaneers would’ve lost to Carolina last month if Hubbard didn’t fumble in overtime. Baker Mayfield and a turnover-prone offense have to overcome a depleted defense that couldn’t stop Cooper Rush and the Cowboys. BUCCANEERS: 26-20 Line: Jaguars minus 1 The winner of this one really loses because it’ll be costly in the race for draft positioning. TITANS: 19-17 Line: Colts minus 8 The Giants have come too far to lose the No. 1 pick in the draft. The Colts are clinging to slim playoff hopes. Jonathan Taylor and Anthony Richardson combined for 308 yards and four TDs against the Titans. They could have similar results against New York. COLTS: 27-16 Line: Eagles minus 9 1/2 The Cowboys are left to play for a winning record after being eliminated from the playoff race. The Eagles still need a win to secure the NFC East, but are almost locked into the No. 2 seed. If Jalen Hurts can’t play because of a concussion, Dallas has a shot against Kenny Pickett. Saquon Barkley is 268 yards away from breaking Eric Dickerson’s single-season rushing record. He could have a big day facing the fifth-worst run defense in the NFL. EAGLES: 24-17 Line: Vikings minus 1 The Vikings are two wins away from the NFC’s No. 1 seed with Sam Darnold. Let that sink in. But those won’t be easy victories. Minnesota has to beat Green Bay and then Detroit on the road to win the NFC North and get home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. The Vikings defeated the Packers 31-29 in Green Bay in September. They’re getting the Packers on short rest off a Monday night rout. The Vikings have been overlooked and underrated. This is a statement game. VIKINGS: 27-22 Line: Dolphins minus 6 1/2 Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins still have slim playoff changes and get an opportunity to win a game in cold weather. A loss helps the Browns hold onto a top-five pick in the draft. DOLPHINS: 25-16 Line: Commanders minus 4 The Falcons regained control of their NFC South hopes when the Buccaneers lost. Now, they have a tough test against the Commanders with Michael Penix Jr. making his second start facing off against Jayden Daniels in another matchup between rookie QBs. Daniels beat Caleb Williams and the Bears earlier this season on a Hail Mary. Washington clinches a playoff berth with a win or a loss by Tampa Bay. COMMANDERS: 24-23 Line: Lions minus 4 The Lions aim to avenge their loss in the NFC championship game, though this matchup lost its luster because the 49ers are eliminated from the playoff race. Detroit clinches the NFC’s No. 1 seed with a win if the Packers beat the Vikings. If Minnesota beats Green Bay, the Lions have to beat the Vikings in Week 18 to win the division and secure the top seed so the result against San Francisco won’t matter. In that case, Dan Campbell could choose to rest some of his starters in preparation for a winner-take-all regular-season finale. LIONS: 26-23 Last week: 12-4.
