online games 1 player Chennai: Demanding a CBI probe into the rape of a female student at Anna University, AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami said the statewide protest demanding safety for women, which was postponed, would be held on Dec 30 in all 84 AIADMK party districts, barring Chennai. Addressing reporters in Chennai on Friday, Palaniswami said the rape survivor in her complaint said the accused spoke to somebody on his cellphone and addressed the person as ‘sir'. "They are refusing to reveal who that sir is," he said. When reporters pointed to allegations that there were videos of many women on the accused's cellphone, Palaniswami said "women would never bravely file complaints under the DMK regime, as all details of the victim were revealed in the FIR". The minister for social welfare and women empowerment P Geetha Jeevan, who spoke to reporters in Tuticorin on Friday, praised the survivor for bravely coming forward to file a complaint and said none of those involved would be spared. Women's safety is priority to DMK, she added.
