Korea IT Times celebrates its 20th anniversary with Insightful columns from local and international thought leaders. Following contributions from experts from all walks of life in July , August , September , and October , the column will continue in November and December. By Columnist Byoung Min Im Malaysia is a constitutional monarchy consisting of 13 states, three federations, and direct territories, and the Malay Peninsula and Borneo Island region is divided by the South China Sea. Its land borders are Thailand, Indonesia, and Brunei, and its maritime borders are Singapore, Vietnam, and the Philippines. The capital of Malaysia is Kuala Lumpur, but the federal government is in Putrajaya, and it is connected to Singapore about 700 meters across from Malaysia's Johor State, making it a treasure trove that can create a new Singapore in Malaysia. This crucial region in Malaysia connects the world from Northeast Asia to South Asia. Malaysia has had a Western culture of Britain since the 18th century, and in August 1957, it regained its territory ultimately from Britain and became independent. Since independence, Malaysia has recorded the best economy in Asia. The Malaysian government system is close to the British constitutional monarchy and Westminster system, and the legal system is based on British law and the United States. Malaysia has had a continuous GDP growth rate for about 50 years. As a country with an average growth rate of 6.5%, the Malaysian economy has traditionally depended on natural resources. Still, recently, various industries such as advanced science, tourism, trade, and medicine have grown rapidly, and it has a good image worldwide. It is a country that processes everything with rational thinking, and its religion is Islam. Still, it is a country that embraces freedom of religion, such as Hinduism, Buddhism, and Christianity, under the constitution. If we go back in history, it is a place with a long history of mankind, with records of human settlements forming on present-day Malaysia about 40,000 years ago. Islam was introduced to Malaysia by Arab merchants around the 14th century. In the early 15th century, the first independent state on the Malay Peninsula, the Malacca Sultanate, was established in the current Malacca region. It was a very important region at the time in terms of geography, economy, and military, and it greatly prospered as an international trading port. Singapore was a state of Malaysia in 1963, known as Negeri Singapura. However, the Singapore government had many conflicts with the Malaysian government; the most significant reason was racial issues. If you look at Singapore alone, the population is primarily Chinese, but the Malays are the majority in Malaysia. Lee Kuan Yew, the prime minister of Singapore at the time, criticized the then-Malaysian Prime Minister Tunku Abdul Rahman, who favored and favored the Malays. This led to racial riots in Singapore in 1964, and after much friction, the Malaysian government effectively expelled Singapore, and Singapore voluntarily withdrew under pressure from the government. After that, Singapore separated from Malaysia and became independent in August 1965. The two countries seemed to have a somewhat good relationship through exchanges, but in reality, there was a grudge that was difficult to wash away, and in 2002, there was even a war between the two countries. Now, Malaysia should not be conscious of the small territory of Singapore and should create a new Singapore that the next generation wants in the new Malaysian state of Johor. Here are six ways the new Malaysia can outperform today's Singapore. Today, Singapore is one of the world's most developed and prosperous economies, with various revenue sources that contribute significantly to its economic growth. Singapore's primary revenue sources are First trade and export ports and logistics. Singapore is one of the busiest ports in the world, and its revenue from serving as a major global shipping and logistics hub accounts for about 8% of Singapore's GDP. Malaysia is building a new quantum AI silicon belt and port in Johor. Second, Singapore exports a wide range of goods, including electronics, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, machinery, refined petroleum products, and food. This is also something Malaysia can build in Johor, a more extensive and more competitive state than Singapore. Third, Singapore is a global financial hub that attracts companies and investors worldwide with financial services. The financial services sector also accounts for a significant portion of the country's GDP, with numerous multinational banks, investment firms, and foreign financial institutions, including banking, insurance, asset management, and investment services. The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) regulates the financial markets to ensure stability and innovation in banking, fintech, and capital markets. Malaysia also has the best economic credit record in Asia, with honesty and integrity, following the British and American systems. Malaysia is trustworthy because of its trustworthiness. Fourth, Singapore is said to have a highly developed manufacturing sector, with major industries including electronics, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and biomedical. However, the Singapore government has problems with high prices, such as selling real estate land lease rights. It also generates significant corporate tax revenue thanks to its status as a business-friendly tax haven for government revenue (taxes and duties). The vast and nature-friendly Malaysian state of Johor is a competitive and attractive place for pharmaceutical and biotechnology, as it has cheap land compared to expensive Singapore. Fifth, In the oil and energy sector, Singapore is one of the world's leading crude oil refiners and is a center for energy trading, with numerous oil and gas companies contributing to exports and revenues. Recently, the energy sector, including natural gas and renewable energy, is striving to become a leader in sustainable energy. This is possible because Korea and Malaysia can actively cooperate in the most advanced technologies in the oil refining and shipping ports sectors. Sixth, It is famous for its national wealth funds, the Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC) and Temasek Holdings. These funds manage national savings and investments to generate revenue for the government, contributing to Singapore's long-term economic stability. These funds are used to become a global leader in technology and innovation. However, the Malaysian government is also investing heavily in research and development (R&D) and is striving to position itself as a hub for emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, fintech, and green technology. Malaysia's technology sector is growing rapidly, and companies in various digital fields, such as software AI, quantum computers, and semiconductors, are expanding their businesses. The young brains produced in Malaysia every year can outpace Singapore. Frankly, historically speaking, if Malaysia is the main, Singapore is the sub. The next generation of young Malaysians can make a new leap forward centered on the state of Johor in Malaysia. Johor means “jewel.” The entire state area is about 20,000 square kilometers, and the population is about 3 million. While Singaporeans enjoy shopping in Johor Bahru on weekends, the development of communication technology allows smartphone communication anytime and anywhere. Now, Johor is an administratively very important place in Malaysia, and it should not just act as a hinterland for Singapore, but should become a center that leads Malaysia, with a population of about 30 million, as a leader. The next generation of Malaysians will be able to make a leap forward because Johor is like a “jewel.”
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis participated in the 3rd Greek Investment Conference in London, held by Morgan Stanley and the Athens Stock Exchange on Monday, and held a discussion with Morgan Stanley Vice-President Luigi Rizzo. At his introductory statement at the event, Mitsotakis spoke of the progress of the Greek economy, which still lagged behind other countries of similar size (Ireland, Portugal). He attributed that to what he called the political world's "inability to formulate the required consensus for practical steps to modernize the country, (and) the fact that we obviously suffered needlessly during the crisis due to political choices made." The PM expressed the certainty that Greece will be able to make up the lost ground and become a truly European country, leading in sectors where it has "an inherent comparative advantage." As an example of resistance to change before its implementation he gave the newly inaugurated Thessaloniki Metro, "an image of Greece's future, a trajectory we shall remain fully focused on." Mitsotakis said it was important to win the support for change not just of the investment community and large companies, but of the majority of the Greek public, which will reap the benefits of the growth. Workshop with Blair, Hassabis PM Mitsotakis outlined the priorities Greece had in the coming years, which he explained: retaining fiscal stability and meeting obligations; using this stable fiscal foundation to continue focusing on productive investments, whether domestic or foreign; and managing skills and technology, while ensuring Greece is at the forefront of artificial intelligence (AI). On the latter, he said he participated in a three-hour workshop with former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair and Nobel prize winner Demis Hassabis, CEO and cofounder of Google DeepMind, to better understand how to use AI to improve government policies. He also mentioned health services, noting that "health care is, on a social front, my number one priority. I believe that we are now pioneers in seeing health not just through the aspect of therapy of a disease, but through prevention. The prevention policies implemented in Greece today, in terms of preliminary checks, are truly pioneering. There are not that many European countries doing what we are doing." Mitsotakis denied there will be an extra tax on bank profits, spoke of Greece's efforts to reduce polluting emissions, and underlined the importance of balancing green transition without destroying industry. "I believe the number one priority for the European Commission is to examine how it will reduce the energy cost for industries and consumers. There are ways we can work toward this direction," he underlined. He also spoke of climate change and its destruction, protecting water resources, and prioritizing the protection of human lives above all during extreme weather. Regional unrest, migration Speaking of the regional instability, including Ukraine, the Middle East and Syria in particular, and the upcoming Trump government, the premier said that Greece hoped to play a role of stability and influence in developments. The future could bring new opportunities, such as contributing to Ukraine's rebuilding, and connecting with India, a country that offers Greece the greatest opportunities. In addition, Mitsotakis reiterated the need for Europe to build its own defense and build its own defense industry. Referring to the migration issue, he said that human traffickers should be at the core of a policy, supported by returns of migrants who do not qualify for asylum. "Returns are something that has not been achieved yet. Those whose asylum applications are rejected end up staying in Europe in one way or another, and this is a great problem," the Greek PM said. "This must be a European project. We must leverage European funds. We cannot have, for example, favorable regulations with countries and not use the leverage we have to tell them they have to accept returns." Europe also needs a better and more ambitious agenda on legal migration and working visas, with countries like Egypt, India, and the Philippines, as Greece is doing. AI and ethics On AI, Mitsotakis said Greece had just published its strategy for AI compiled by a lsit of Greek specialists and AI from Greece and abroad. What Greece can offer is a large number of AI specialists and innovators abroad who would want to get involved with what is happening back in Greece, where there is an emerging ecosystem of AI tartup businesses and state support, including a digital transformation ministry. "We are claiming one of seven 'AI factories' positions" as a country, the Greek premier said, adding that Greece is building its first Greek supercomputer and has issued tenders that will give it access to key European funding for AI. "I believe that from the aspect of a milder policy - but again a very important one, given our heritage - should be to become leaders in the space that bridges ethics and AI. We have this additional advantage that we can become the central focus point for such discussions, which are unbelievably interesting, not just at intellectual level, but will one day lead to regulations in terms of protecting us from the negative aspects of AI," PM Mitsotakis underlined.
Tayshawn Comer scores 18 to lead Evansville past Campbell 66-53'Iron press' used 'to crush prisoners in Syrian prisons' shown in disturbing imagesWILMINGTON, Del. – Attorneys for Meta shareholders asked a Delaware judge Monday to sanction the company's former Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg and fellow Facebook board member and current White House chief of staff Jeff Zients for deleting emails related to the Cambridge Analytica privacy scandal , despite being told to preserve such records. The plaintiff attorneys contend that Sandberg and Zients used personal email accounts to communicate about key issues relating to their 2018 shareholder lawsuit that alleged Facebook officers and directors violated both the law and their fiduciary duties in failing for years to protect the privacy of user data. Recommended Videos “Although Sandberg and Zients received a litigation hold requiring them to preserve documents from these accounts, they both knowingly and permanently destroyed electronically stored information from such sources,” attorneys said in a court filing. The plaintiffs say the former board members were either “reckless or intentional” in destroying documents, noting that Sandberg deleted communications to and from her Gmail account after only 30 days, even after being notified of the “litigation hold” to preserve documents. Zients never disabled an auto-delete function on his email account, even though he, too, received a litigation hold and consulted with lawyers, they said. The plaintiffs argue that Sandberg and Zients should be prohibited from testifying about information they sent or received using their personal email accounts. They also say the burden of proof for any affirmative defense they present should be raised to a standard of “clear and convincing evidence,” instead of the lower standard of a “preponderance” of the evidence. Sandberg was deposed last week. Plaintiff attorney Max Huffman said Zients is “busy” and will be deposed in February “after there’s an effective transition in Washington.” Defense attorney Berton Ashman described the email deletions as “unfortunate” but argued that the plaintiffs have not shown that they were prejudiced in any way. “There’s no intent here to destroy relevant or responsive information,” Ashman told Vice Chancellor J. Travis Laster, adding that there no “trove of missing emails.” “There’s no grand scheme or suggestion of bad behavior,” he added. Ashman said the vast majority of emails that Sandberg and Zients sent or received using their personal accounts were also received by other individuals at Facebook. He suggested that any emails that may have been deleted have been made available to the plaintiffs from other sources at Facebook. Huffman, the plaintiffs’ lawyer, said Sandberg does not deserve the benefit of the doubt. “She unilaterally controlled what was kept and what was destroyed,” he told the judge. Laster, who is scheduled to preside over a non-jury trial in April, said he wanted to see a transcript of Sandberg’s deposition before ruling on the motion for sanctions. Last year, the judge rejected a defense motion arguing that the lawsuit should be dismissed because the plaintiffs did not first demand that Facebook’s board take legal action before filing litigation themselves. He agreed with the plaintiffs that such a demand would have been futile because of doubts that a majority of the relevant Facebook board members, many with close personal and business ties to Mark Zuckerberg, would be willing to confront the CEO and founder of the company over its privacy failures. Laster noted that, in deciding on a motion to dismiss, he was required to accept the allegations in the complaint as true. The complaint alleges that Facebook officials repeatedly and continually violated a 2012 consent order with the Federal Trade Commission under which Facebook agreed to stop collecting and sharing personal data on platform users and friends without their consent. Facebook later sold user data to commercial partners in direct violation of the consent order and removed disclosures from privacy settings that were required under consent order, the lawsuit alleges. The company’s conduct resulted in significant fines from regulators in Europe and culminated in the Cambridge Analytica scandal in 2018. That case involved a British political consulting firm hired by Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign that paid a Facebook app developer for the personal information of tens of millions Facebook users. The fallout led to Facebook agreeing to pay unprecedented $5 billion penalty to settle FTC charges that the company violated the 2012 consent order by deceiving users about their ability to protect their personal information.

1 Stock to Buy, 1 Stock to Sell This Week: Burlington Stores, Kohl’sSACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — California, home to some of the largest technology companies in the world, would be the first U.S. state to require mental health warning labels on social media sites if lawmakers pass a bill introduced Monday. The legislation sponsored by state Attorney General Rob Bonta is necessary to bolster safety for children online, supporters say, but industry officials vow to fight the measure and others like it under the First Amendment. Warning labels for social media gained swift bipartisan support from dozens of attorneys general, including Bonta, after U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy called on Congress to establish the requirements earlier this year, saying social media is a contributing factor in the mental health crisis among young people. “These companies know the harmful impact their products can have on our children, and they refuse to take meaningful steps to make them safer,” Bonta said at a news conference Monday. “Time is up. It’s time we stepped in and demanded change.” State officials haven't provided details on the bill, but Bonta said the warning labels could pop up once weekly. Up to 95% of youth ages 13 to 17 say they use a social media platform, and more than a third say that they use social media “almost constantly,” according to 2022 data from the Pew Research Center. Parents’ concerns prompted Australia to pass the world’s first law banning social media for children under 16 in November. “The promise of social media, although real, has turned into a situation where they’re turning our children’s attention into a commodity,” Assemblymember Rebecca Bauer-Kahan, who authored the California bill, said Monday. “The attention economy is using our children and their well-being to make money for these California companies.” Lawmakers instead should focus on online safety education and mental health resources, not warning label bills that are “constitutionally unsound,” said Todd O’Boyle, a vice president of the tech industry policy group Chamber of Progress. “We strongly suspect that the courts will set them aside as compelled speech,” O’Boyle told The Associated Press. Victoria Hinks' 16-year-old daughter, Alexandra, died by suicide four months ago after being “led down dark rabbit holes” on social media that glamorized eating disorders and self-harm. Hinks said the labels would help protect children from companies that turn a blind eye to the harm caused to children’s mental health when they become addicted to social media platforms. “There's not a bone in my body that doubts social media played a role in leading her to that final, irreversible decision,” Hinks said. “This could be your story." Common Sense Media, a sponsor of the bill, said it plans to lobby for similar proposals in other states. California in the past decade has positioned itself as a leader in regulating and fighting the tech industry to bolster online safety for children. The state was the first in 2022 to bar online platforms from using users’ personal information in ways that could harm children. It was one of the states that sued Meta in 2023 and TikTok in October for deliberately designing addictive features that keep kids hooked on their platforms. Gov. Gavin Newsom, a Democrat, also signed several bills in September to help curb the effects of social media on children, including one to prohibit social media platforms from knowingly providing addictive feeds to children without parental consent and one to limit or ban students from using smartphones on school campus. Federal lawmakers have held hearings on child online safety and legislation is in the works to force companies to take reasonable steps to prevent harm. The legislation has the support of X owner Elon Musk and the President-elect’s son, Donald Trump Jr . Still, the last federal law aimed at protecting children online was enacted in 1998, six years before Facebook’s founding. You Asked: Noisy 4K Blu-rays and soundbars in corners

Bengals player to watch Joe Burrow is one of five QBs in NFL history with at least 30 touchdown passes and no more than five interceptions through 12 games. Aaron Rodgers has done it three times, with one each for Patrick Mahomes, Drew Brees and Tom Brady. The worst record among the six previous instances was 9-3, while Burrow sits at a hard-to-imagine 4-8. Two of those teams started 12-0: Green Bay with Rodgers in 2011 and Tom Brady with New England in 2007. Burrow leads the NFL in passing yards (3,337), completions (302) and touchdowns (30) entering Week 14. Cowboys player to watch LB DeMarvion Overshown had a coming-out moment with his spectacular 23-yard interception return for a touchdown against the Giants. The second-year player, who missed his rookie season with a knee injury, tipped a pass from Drew Lock, ran down the deflection and scored untouched to put Dallas ahead for good. There’s talk of him forming quite a tandem with two-time All-Pro pass rusher Micah Parsons. It’s a little early for that, but the “Monday Night Football” audience will be looking for an encore. Key matchup WR Ja’Marr Chase vs. the Dallas secondary. The question is whether 2021 All-Pro cornerback Trevon Diggs will be among the defenders going up against his former Southeastern Conference rival (Chase played for LSU; Diggs for Alabama). Diggs has missed two games with groin and knee issues. There was some trash talk involved in Dallas' 20-17 win two years ago when the Bengals were defending AFC champs. Chase finished with 54 yards as Cincinnati was held to 254 yards and one touchdown. If Diggs can’t go, 2023 All-Pro DaRon Bland figures to see plenty of Chase. Bland is set for his third game after missing the first 10 following surgery for a stress fracture in his foot. Chase leads the league in receiving yards (1,142) and touchdowns (13) entering Week 14. Key injuries Bengals K Evan McPherson (groin) and LB Logan Wilson (knee) were placed on injured reserve this week. Cade York, the LSU kicker when Burrow and Chase led the Tigers to the 2019 national championship, was signed to replace McPherson. ... Cowboys RG Zack Martin has opted for ankle surgery that will end an injury-filled season for the seven-time All-Pro. Martin missed the past two games. ... It appears Dallas will have to wait at least one more week before DE DeMarcus Lawrence returns from a foot injury. His practice window hasn’t opened, and he stayed in the rehab group to start the week. Lawrence hasn’t played since Week 4. ... Rookie LT Tyler Guyton has been dealing with a shoulder injury and added an ankle sprain last week. He is likely to sit this week in favor of veteran Chuma Edoga, who made his season debut against the Giants after injuring a toe in training camp. Series notes The Cowboys have beaten the Bengals five times in a row and are 7-1 at home against them. The loss was at old Texas Stadium in 1988. The most recent victory for Cincinnati was 26-3 in 2004. Stats and stuff The Bengals are on their second three-game losing streak of the season and still looking for their first victory over a team with a winning record. The Cowboys have won two in a row coming off a five-game losing streak and just ended a six-game skid at home. ... The Cowboys have the second worst at 43.8%. ... It’s the second Monday night game of the season for both teams. Cincinnati lost to Washington in Week 3. Dallas lost to Houston in Week 11. ... Burrow is one of six QBs with at least three consecutive games of 300-plus yards passing and at least three TDs. Steve Young set the record with five for San Francisco in 1998. Burrow has lost all three games on his streak, while the other five QBs were a combined 15-6 during their streaks. ... WR Tee Higgins is one of three NFL receivers with at least five touchdowns in each of the past five seasons. Mike Evans and Justin Jefferson are the others. ... LT Orlando Brown Jr. returned against Pittsburgh following the first stint of his seven-year career on the inactive list with a leg injury sustained Oct. 27. ... The Bengals benched starting LG Cordell Volson against the Steelers in favor of Cody Ford. Coach Zac Taylor said Ford played well enough to keep the starting job. ... Edge rusher Trey Hendrickson entered the week still leading the NFL with 11 1/2 sacks but has just half a sack during the current three-game losing streak that followed his career-high four sacks against Las Vegas. Cowboys QB Cooper Rush’s second career start, and first as a five-game fill-in for the injured Dak Prescott in 2022, was a Dallas victory over the Bengals. Rush passed for 235 yards and a touchdown in the first of four consecutive games without an interception, all victories. Rush is 2-2 this season as the replacement for Prescott, who is out for the season following surgery on a torn hamstring. ... RB Rico Dowdle is coming off his first career 100-yard game, with 112 yards rushing and a touchdown against the Giants. ... CeeDee Lamb needs 120 yards receiving to become the first Dallas wideout to reach 1,000 yards in four of his first five seasons. ... Dallas has 16 sacks in the four games since two-time All-Pro pass rusher Micah Parsons returned from a high ankle sprain. The Cowboys are tied with Denver for the most sacks in that span. TGM MOURNS DEATH OF CO-FOUNDER AND MANAGING PRINCIPAL STEVEN C. MACYPHILADELPHIA (AP) — Former Temple basketball standout Hysier Miller sat for a long interview with the NCAA as it looked into concerns about unusual gambling activity, his lawyer said Friday amid reports a federal probe is now under way. “Hysier Miller fully cooperated with the NCAA’s investigation. He sat for a five-hour interview and answered every question the NCAA asked. He also produced every document the NCAA requested,” lawyer Jason Bologna said in a statement. “Hysier did these things because he wanted to play basketball this season, and he is devastated that he cannot.” Miller, a three-year starter from South Philadelphia, transferred to Virginia Tech this spring. However, the Hokies released him last month due to what the program called “circumstances prior to his enrollment at Virginia Tech.” Bologna declined to confirm that a federal investigation had been opened, as did spokespeople for both the FBI and the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Philadelphia. ESPN, citing unnamed sources, reported Thursday that authorities were investigating whether Miller bet on games he played in at Temple, and whether he adjusted his performance accordingly. “Hysier Miller has overcome more adversity in his 22 years than most people face in their lifetime. He will meet and overcome whatever obstacles lay ahead," Bologna said. Miller scored eight points — about half his season average of 15.9 — in a 100-72 loss to UAB on March 7 that was later flagged for unusual betting activity. Temple said it has been aware of those allegations since they became public in March, and has been cooperative. “We have been fully responsive and cooperative with the NCAA since the moment we learned of the investigation,” Temple President John Fry said in a letter Thursday to the school community. However, Fry said Temple had not received any requests for information from state or federal law enforcement agencies. He vowed to cooperate fully if they did. “Coaches, student-athletes and staff members receive mandatory training on NCAA rules and regulations, including prohibitions on involvement in sports wagering," Fry said in the letter. The same week the Temple-UAB game raised concerns, Loyola (Maryland) said it had removed a person from its basketball program after it became aware of a gambling violation. Temple played UAB again on March 17, losing 85-69 in the finals of the American Athletic Conference Tournament. League spokesman Tom Fenstermaker also declined comment on Friday. Georgia Tech sophomore wide receiver Eric Singleton entered the transfer portal on Monday, eyeing a rival known for dealing the Yellow Jackets losses. Singleton had a team-high 56 catches for 754 yards and three touchdowns in 2024 after delivering 48 receptions for 714 yards and six touchdowns as a true freshman in 2023. He also rushed for 131 yards and a TD on 21 carries in 2024. Singleton had eight catches for 86 yards and a touchdown in the regular-season finale at Georgia, and will reportedly visit the Bulldogs in Athens. The news comes on the same day Georgia wide receiver Nitro Tuggle said he was entering the portal, which officially opened Monday and remains open until Dec. 28. And another Bulldogs wide receiver, Michael Jackson III, announced he would hit the portal again after recording only one catch this season. The former four-star recruit spent his first three seasons at USC before transferring to Georgia. A product of Alexander High School in Douglasville (Ga.), Singleton was rated a three-star recruit in 2023 and had offers from Georgia Southern, Georgia State and Troy but not Georgia. Players who enter the transfer portal are permitted to return to their original school. Georgia Tech (7-5) was selected for the Birmingham Bowl and plays Vanderbilt on Dec. 27. --Texas Tech five-star recruit Micah Hudson has run an out route. Hudson made his anticipated move to leave Texas Tech on Monday when the former five-star recruit said he plans to transfer. Bothered by a knee injury after signing early, he missed the Red Raiders' spring workouts and started fall camp late while recovering. His season ended with four games remaining because of another injury. Hudson, a Temple, Texas, native, started one game and played in eight games. He had 123 yards on eight receptions. Head coach Joey McGuire said last week he still believed in Hudson becoming a great player and hoped it was at Texas Tech, but indicated he wouldn't be blocking the door of any player who felt another team would suit them better. "I'd love (for Hudson) to (return)," McGuire said last week. "I sent him a text today, responded to a text. I recruit these guys and I want ‘em here, and then there's some that have moved on and they felt like there were better situations." --Wisconsin QB Tyler Van Dyke is back in the transfer portal after one season and three games with the Badgers. The former Miami (Fla.) starter won the starting job at Wisconsin in August but was injured three games into the season against Alabama in September. Van Dyke has played in 35 career games and has 55 touchdown passes. --Nebraska freshman defensive lineman Keona Davis plans to transfer following the departure of Huskers defensive line coach Terrance Knighton. "After thoughtful reflection and careful consideration, I have decided to enter the transfer portal with four years of eligibility remaining," Davis said via X. "I want to thank Coach Rhule and his staff, my teammates, and everyone in Husker Nation who has supported me along the way. I am deeply grateful for the experiences, relationships, and opportunities I've had as a Cornhusker. Thank you, Husker Nation!" Davis was a top 15 recruit from the state of Arizona in 2023. He had two tackles for loss and nine total tackles in 2024 as a true freshman. Knighton, who accepted a post at Florida State last week, raised Davis' profile in fall camp when he compared his upside to former Nebraska All-American and NFL All-Pro Ndamukong Suh. "When he leaves here, he's going to look like 93 that used to play here. More info Royal fans were all left with the same thoughts as they were thrilled to catch a glimpse of Princess Charlotte enjoying time with her Royal cousins during the iconic Christmas Day walkabout. Dressed in a festive green ensemble that matched her mum, Kate, Princess of Wales, Charlotte was all smiles as she mingled with the public alongside her dad Prince William , and her brothers, 11 year old Prince George and six year old Prince Louis . The Royal family's walk from Sandringham House to St Mary Magdalene Church was a sight to behold, with King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla leading a host of royals. Among them were Charlotte's second cousins: six year old Lena Tindall, Savannah Phillips at 14, and Mia Tindall, who is 10. As they made their way, the young royals shared giggles and jokes, much to the delight of onlookers who couldn't help but share their joy online. Fans were quick to comment on the adorable interactions, with one noting on social media platform X: "Love that the great grandchildren of QEII (Queen Elizabeth II) are so close." Another simply stated the youngsters had a "beautiful bond", while another observer mentioned: "They are all growing up before our eyes. Family supporting each other." A Windsor family fan account gushed: "Aw love the Wales kids' relationship with their cousins.", reports the Express . Lena and Mia Tindall are the daughters of ex-England rugby star Mike Tindall and Zara Phillips, daughter of Princess Anne and Mark Phillips. Savannah Phillips stepped out in a stunning burgundy coat, reminding everyone of her fashion-forward lineage as the eldest granddaughter of the Princess Royal. Alongside her was the youthful Princess Charlotte who looked every bit the picture of happiness during the outing with her doting mum, Princess Kate. This family moment comes especially heartwarming, following Princess Kate's brave battle with a cancer diagnosis throughout the year. In his heartfelt Christmas Day speech, King Charles III took a moment to commend the extraordinary people who have stood by him and the Princess of Wales amid their health battles. Addressing the nation on December 25, the King expressed admiration for their remarkable selflessness, with him and his family left "continually" inspired by those who devote themselves to serving others.
