(Nasdaq: URGN), a biotech company dedicated to developing and commercializing innovative solutions that treat urothelial and specialty cancers, today highlights results from a long-term follow-up study with JELMYTO (mitomycin) for pyelocalyceal solution, which is FDA approved for the treatment of adults with low-grade, upper tract urothelial cancer (LG-UTUC). Among patients from the OLYMPUS trial who achieved a complete response after primary chemoablation with JELMYTO (n=41, 20 of whom entered the long-term follow-up study), the median duration of response was 47.8 months (median follow-up 28.1 months (95% CI 13.1, 57.5). The study results were presented at the Society for Urologic Oncology (SUO) annual meeting in Dallas, Texas, and were recently published online in the Journal of Urology . “The median duration of response of 47.8 months in patients who achieved a complete response with JELMYTO demonstrates robust long-term control of LG- UTUC,” said Brian Hu, M.D., Associate Professor of Urology, Loma Linda University School of Medicine and study investigator. “With these compelling data showing sustained complete response, JELMYTO provides a valuable treatment option for potentially achieving a long-lasting recurrence-free interval.” Of the 71 patients enrolled in OLYMPUS, 41 achieved a complete response after treatment with JELMYTO and had a median duration of response of 47.8 months (95% CI 13.0, not estimable), with median follow-up of 28.1 months (95% CI 13.1, 57.5). “Managing relapse and preserving kidney function are key treatment goals for LG-UTUC, as the risk of disease progression is low,” said Mark Schoenberg, M.D., Chief Medical officer, UroGen. “The study’s findings are compelling, as they support the potential of JELMYTO to offer patients long-lasting benefits, with evidence of an extended response duration that may improve quality of life and reduce the need for more invasive treatments.” The analysis has certain limitations, including its post-hoc nature and the inherent selection bias of the 20 patients enrolled in the long-term follow-up study. About JELMYTO JELMYTO® (mitomycin) for pyelocalyceal solution is a mitomycin-containing reverse thermal gel containing 4 mg mitomycin per mL gel approved for the treatment of adult patients with low-grade-UTUC (LG-UTUC). JELMYTO is a viscous liquid when cooled and becomes a semi-solid gel at body temperature. The drug slowly dissolves over four to six hours after instillation and is removed from the urinary tract by normal urine flow and voiding. It is approved for administration in a retrograde manner via ureteral catheter or antegrade through a nephrostomy tube. The delivery system allows the initial liquid to coat and conform to the upper urinary tract anatomy. The eventual semisolid gel allows for chemoablative therapy to remain in the collecting system for four to six hours without immediately being diluted or washed away by urine flow . About Upper Tract Urothelial Cancer (UTUC) Urothelial cancer is the ninth most common cancer globally and the eighth most lethal neoplasm in men in the U.S. Between five percent and ten percent of primary urothelial cancers originate in the ureter or renal pelvis and are collectively referred to as UTUC. In the U.S., there are approximately 6,000 - 7,000 new or recurrent LG-UTUC patients annually. Most cases are diagnosed in patients over 70 years old, and these older patients often have multiple comorbidities. There are limited treatment options for UTUC, with the most common being endoscopic surgery or nephroureterectomy (removal of the entire kidney and ureter). Treatment with endoscopic surgery can be associated with a high rate of recurrence and relapse. About UroGen Pharma Ltd. UroGen is a biotech company dedicated to developing and commercializing innovative solutions that treat urothelial and specialty cancers because patients deserve better options. UroGen has developed RTGel ® reverse-thermal hydrogel, a proprietary sustained-release, hydrogel-based platform technology that has the potential to improve the therapeutic profiles of existing drugs. UroGen’s sustained release technology is designed to enable longer exposure of the urinary tract tissue to medications, making local therapy a potentially more effective treatment option. Our first product to treat LG-UTUC and investigational treatment UGN-102 (mitomycin) for intravesical solution for patients with low-grade non-muscle invasive bladder cancer are designed to ablate tumors by non-surgical means. ETR , which stands for Enhanced Terrain Rendering, paired with NVD , or Non-Visible Dynamics, is set to redefine immersion as we know it. ETR: NVD introduces a level of detail and realism that gaming enthusiasts have been dreaming of. Enhanced Terrain Rendering goes beyond traditional graphics, employing advanced algorithms to dynamically adapt terrain quality to the player’s unique perspective, thus optimizing performance while delivering breathtaking visuals. Imagine landscapes that mold and shape based on not just your movements but also your actions. This offers a tailored experience that feels uniquely personal and endlessly engaging. NVD, on the other hand, focuses on injecting realism where it wasn’t there before. This technology uses predictive analytics and machine learning to simulate unseen influences, such as wind patterns, unseen gravitational forces, or underground networks, that affect in-game events without being directly visible. These non-visible dynamics add layers of authenticity, allowing for a gaming experience that’s almost lifelike. Both technologies, intertwined, offer a glimpse into a future where gaming worlds aren’t just played but lived in. Developers and tech enthusiasts are keen to see how ETR: NVD will advance, heralding a new era of gaming dynamics that venture beyond what we currently know, transforming virtual adventures into richly detailed, believable realities. Non-Visible Dynamics (NVD): Adding a layer of unseen influence, NVD uses predictive analytics and machine learning to introduce elements like wind patterns and gravitational forces that impact gameplay without being immediately obvious. By simulating these hidden dynamics, the game environment becomes more authentic and complex, mimicking real-world phenomena. Key Features and Innovations – Adaptive Visualization: ETR’s ability to mold the landscape based on player interaction leads to a more customized and engaging gaming environment. – Predictive Worldbuilding: NVD’s use of machine learning enables games to react to player behavior in more nuanced ways, adding depth and realism. Use Cases and Compatibility The potential applications for ETR: NVD extend beyond traditional gaming. Educational simulations, virtual reality experiences, and even architectural visualizations could benefit from such realistic and adaptive environments. As these technologies evolve, ensuring compatibility with leading gaming platforms will be crucial for widespread adoption. Pros and Cons Pros: – Enhanced realism and immersion in gaming experiences. – Dynamic environments tailored to individual players. – Potential applications beyond gaming, in fields such as education and virtual training. Cons: – Technical complexity might lead to increased development costs. – Requires advanced hardware for optimal performance. Market Analysis and Predictions As gaming becomes increasingly immersive, the demand for technologies like ETR: NVD is expected to rise. The gaming industry, with its focus on creating highly engaging user experiences, stands to benefit enormously. Analysts predict that these innovations could revolutionize gaming within the next decade, leading to a market shift towards experiences that blur the line between virtual and reality. Donald Trump’s election is a boost for crypto enthusiasts but it’s still super high risk Bitcoin has been boosted by the election of Donald Trump in the US. (Pic: Getty) The price of bitcoin this week topped $100,000 (€94,650) for the first time after surging on the back of the election of Donald Trump as US president and his elevation of crypto enthusiasts like Elon Musk into influential roles. Ironically, for a form of money explicitly created to be outside any state’s influence or control, the high comes as the incoming US president and those around him move to shift cryptocurrencies, long favoured by gangsters and techno-anarchists, towards the financial mainstream.Travis Hunter and Ashton Jeanty give this year's Heisman Trophy ceremony a different vibe

Live Nation stock hits all-time high of $139.61 amid robust growthMinisters will not set an arbitrary cap on the number of civil servants amid reports more than 10,000 jobs could be lost as the result of a spending squeeze. Sir Keir Starmer has been warned by a trade union not to impose “blunt headcount targets” for the size of the Civil Service but Government sources insisted there would be no set limit, although the number “cannot keep growing”. Departments have been ordered to find 5% “efficiency savings” as part of Chancellor Rachel Reeves’ spending review, potentially putting jobs at risk. The size of the Civil Service has increased from a low of around 384,000 in mid-2016, and the Tories went into the general election promising to reduce numbers by 70,000 to fund extra defence spending. Any reduction under Labour would be more modest, with the Guardian reporting more than 10,000 jobs could be lost. A Government spokesman said: “Under our plan for change, we are making sure every part of government is delivering on working people’s priorities — delivering growth, putting more money in people’s pockets, getting the NHS back on its feet, rebuilding Britain and securing our borders in a decade of national renewal. “We are committed to making the Civil Service more efficient and effective, with bold measures to improve skills and harness new technologies.” Mike Clancy, general secretary of the Prospect trade union said: “We need a clear plan for the future of the civil service that goes beyond the blunt headcount targets that have failed in the past. “This plan needs to be developed in partnership with civil servants and their unions, and we look forward to deeper engagement with the government in the coming months.” A Government source said: “The number of civil servants cannot keep growing. “But we will not set an arbitrary cap. “The last government tried that and ended up spending loads on more expensive consultants.” The Government is already risking a confrontation with unions over proposals to limit pay rises for more than a million public servants to 2.8%, a figure only just over the projected 2.6% rate of inflation next year. Unions representing teachers, doctors and nurses have condemned the proposals. In the face of the union backlash, Downing Street said the public sector must improve productivity to justify real-terms pay increases. The Prime Minister’s official spokesman said: “It’s vital that pay awards are fair for both taxpayers and workers.” Asked whether higher pay settlements to staff would mean departmental cuts elsewhere, the spokesman said: “Real-terms pay increases must be matched by productivity gains and departments will only be able to fund pay awards above inflation over the medium-term if they become more productive and workforces become more productive.” TUC general secretary Paul Nowak said: “It’s hard to see how you address the crisis in our services without meaningful pay rises. “And it’s hard to see how services cut to the bone by 14 years of Tory government will find significant cash savings. “The Government must now engage unions and the millions of public sector workers we represent in a serious conversation about public service reform and delivery.”
