Here Are 4 Unbelievable Buying Opportunities In The Crypto Market Right Now( MENAFN - Newsfile Corp) Toronto, Ontario--(Newsfile Corp. - December 24, 2024) - SuperBuzz Inc. (TSXV: SPZ) (" SuperBuzz " or the " Company "), is pleased to announce that, further to its press release of November 26, 2024, it has closed the first tranche of its non-brokered private placement financing of special warrants of the Company (each, a " Special Warrant") at a price of $0.16 per Special Warrant for gross proceeds of up to $750,000 (the " Offering "). Pursuant to the first tranche of the Offering, the Company issued an aggregate of 2,800,000 Special Warrants for gross proceeds of $448,000. Each Special Warrant shall be automatically exchanged for units of the Company (each, a " Unit ") upon satisfaction of the following conditions: (i) receipt of shareholder approval with respect to the Consolidation (as defined below); (ii) completion of the Consolidation; and (iii) receipt of all corporate and regulatory approvals, including the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange (" TSXV "), for the Offering and the Consolidation (collectively, the " Exercise Conditions "). Each Unit issued upon satisfaction of the Exercise Conditions shall consist of one common share in the capital of the Company (each, a " Common Share ") and one Common Share purchase warrant of the Company (each, a " Warrant "). Each Warrant shall entitle the holder to purchase one Common Share for a period of 24 months from the initial closing date of the Offering (the " Closing Date ") at the following exercise prices: (i) $0.22 per Common Share if exercised within the first 12 months from the Closing Date; and (ii) $0.28 per Common Share if exercised during the subsequent 12-month period. The Company shall use its reasonable best efforts to satisfy the Exercise Conditions on or before the date that is six (6) months following the Closing Date (the " Special Warrant Expiry Time "). In the event that the Exercise Conditions are not satisfied on or before the Special Warrant Expiry Time, the Special Warrants shall be automatically exchanged for promissory notes of the Company (the " Notes "), in the principal amount that is equal to each subscriber's subscription amount. The Notes shall be immediately payable and shall accrue interest at a rate of 18% per annum, calculated on a daily basis. The net proceeds of the Offering will be used for marketing and advertising the Company's core platform to potential end customers, sales initiatives, working capital and for general corporate purposes. As previously announced, the Company intends to consolidate (the " Consolidation ") its issued and outstanding Common Shares on the basis of four (4) pre-consolidation Common Shares for one (1) post-consolidation Common Share. The Company's shareholders approved the Consolidation at the Company's annual general and special meeting held on December 10, 2024. The completion of the Consolidation remains subject to receipt of all necessary approvals, including shareholder approval and the approval of the TSXV. Additionally, the Company announces that it has entered into a debt conversion agreement (the " Debt Conversion Agreement ") with Yoel Yogev, to settle an aggregate of $150,000 (the " Debt ") of debt. Pursuant to the Debt Conversion Agreement, the Company has agreed to issue, and the Creditor has agreed to accept, an aggregate of 937,500 post-Consolidation Common Shares (the " Debt Shares ") in full and final settlement of the Debt, with such Debt Shares being issued at a deemed issue price of 0.16 per Debt Share. The transactions contemplated by the Debt Conversion Agreement constitutes a "related party transaction" within the meaning of TSX Venture Exchange Policy 5.9 and Multilateral Instrument 61-101 Protection of Minority Security Holders in Special Transaction (" MI 61-101 ") because Mr. Yogev is a director of the Company. The Company is relying on exemptions from the valuation and minority shareholder approval requirements of MI 61-101 contained in sections 5.5(a) and 5.7(1)(a) of MI 61-101, as the fair market value of the Debt Shares does not exceed 25% of the market capitalization of the Company, as determined in accordance with MI 61-101. The Offering and the Debt Settlement remains subject to the Company obtaining all necessary corporate and regulatory approvals, including the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange (" TSXV "). All securities issued in connection with the Offering and the Debt Settlement will be subject to a statutory hold period of four months plus a day from the date of issuance in accordance with applicable securities legislation in Canada. None of the securities issued in the Offering or the Debt Settlement will be registered under the United States Securities Act of 1933, as amended (the " 1933 Act "), and none of them may be offered or sold in the United States absent registration or an applicable exemption from the registration requirements of the 1933 Act. This press release shall not constitute an offer to sell or a solicitation of an offer to buy nor shall there be any sale of the securities in any state where such an offer, solicitation, or sale would be unlawful. The Company also announces that it has entered into an amending agreement (the " Amending Agreement ") with Yoel Yogev, amending certain terms of the consulting agreement dated July 2, 2024, between the Company and Mr. Yogev. Pursuant to the Amending Agreement, Mr. Yogev will receive compensation in the amount of $25,000, on an annual basis (reduced from $10,000 monthly), and will be granted restricted stock units (" RSUs ") of the Company convertible into $25,000 of post-Consolidation Common Shares, calculated based on the Market Price (as defined in TSXV Policy 1.1 - Interpretation) at the time of grant. It's become somewhat of a tradition this time of year. Residents in the capital spent the day at Tanger Outlets in Kanata, looking to put the finishing touches on their holiday shopping, while others were just getting started. Getu Asefa was one of the dozens completing his list. He shovelled himself out of his home Christmas Eve morning and drove an hour to Tanger to beat the rush. "I'm a dad of three boys, so I'm going to buy some pair of shoes for them," Asefa said. "Maybe a gift for my wife too." But why do so many people choose to do their shopping so close to Christmas? Well, Asefa says, having a family to care for and a job, it's hard for him to find the time. "This is the time I found for moving around. I don't shop much so this time is going to be enough for me, maybe one or two hours," Asefa said. Across the city on Bank Street, more of the same. Caroline Workman says it's about finding that finish touch for her loved ones, while also supporting local shops. "This is an amazing community. You want these businesses to thrive, and the holidays is the perfect time to support them," Workman said. "I live in the Glebe, so I'm a big shop local – so it's a matter of just running out of my house and coming down Bank Street." Workman says it's also nice getting something in return as well. "It's Glebe Spree, which is the other bonus," Workman said. "You shop here, and you get these stickers and you have a chance of winning some cash prizes, which is also an incentive to shop, so now most of my Christmases are really focused on shopping local." President-elect Trump's granddaughter Kai gives rare, behind-the-scenes look inside Trump Force One Donald's granddaughter posted a YouTube video from inside Trump's plane CLICK HERE: Sign up for DailyMail.com's daily U.S. politics newsletter By JON MICHAEL RAASCH, U.S. POLITICAL REPORTER FOR DAILYMAIL.COM Published: 22:11, 27 November 2024 | Updated: 22:27, 27 November 2024 e-mail View comments Rich wood paneling, couches with plush silk pillows, flat-screen TVs and a Terminator-style bobblehead of grandpa on the dashboard - Donald Trump 's rising-star granddaughter, Kai, is giving the world an eye-opening glimpse of how the president-elect gets around in style. The eldest daughter of the former president's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr ., 17-year-old Kai Trump recently joined her father and grandpa on a recent trip to Brownsville, Texas , to watch 'Uncle Elon' Musk's recent SpaceX rocket launch. But along the way, the teen documented the high-flying day trip to south Texas in an 11-minute YouTube video this week, pulling back the curtains on some of the most intriguing previously unseen details of her grandfather's famous 'Trump Force One.' The president-elect purchased the Boeing 757 for $100 million in 2011, though it is decades older than that. 'This is the plane,' Kai says, holding the camera selfie-style. 'Let me give you a tour.' In the 11-minute video, avid golfer Kai chats it up and dances - including to her grandpa's fave 'YMCA' - with her pal Emma as the pair show off the 43-seater. Trump had the jet upgraded with 24-carat, gold-plated seat belts, a 2013 documentary revealed, describing it as having 'enough gold that if melted down it could gold-plate the outside of a Greyhound bus'. And the gold trimmings can be seen everywhere as Kai and her pal roam around the plane. President-elect Donald Trump's granddaughter, Kai Trump (L), and her friend Emma (R), wear matching outfits for a YouTube video giving a behind-the-scenes look at the Republican's plane 'Trump Force One' while documenting their trip visit 'Uncle' Elon Musk's SpaceX launch last week in south Texas Kai goes to grab a plate full of fresh fruit during the video The two can be seen practicing their dance moves and playing games ahead of their arrival to Brownsville, Texas Initially the friends are shown in a lounge area having some laughs, dancing and talking. Eventually Kai gets hungry and she disappears before coming back with a plate of fresh fruit including melon and cantaloupe. In the next shot the camera is angled down as the pair walks down some presumably sensitive areas before revealing one of the wood-paneled hallways with golden carpets. Then they come on a door open to a nearby bedroom, presumably that of the president-elect. The presidential suite features what appears to be a king-size bed covered in beige linens with matching pillows featuring the Trump family crest. The corner of a leather seat can also be seen in the quick peak. The first tour shot shows a long wood-lined hallway with golden carpet and an exit door Panning up the camera reveals a bedroom, presumably Donald Trump's, with a plush looking bed with beige bedding and a pillow emblazoned with the Trump family crest Read More Donald Trump attends SpaceX Launch in south Texas alongside Elon Musk The dazzling jumbo jet is compartmentalized into various sections for guests, aides and the president-elect himself. Immediately after the clip revealing the bedroom the video cuts to a shot walking down another area where some business-suited Trump confidantes - who's faces are not shown - are sitting toward the front of the plane. 'Hey guys!' Kai cheerfully greets them. Steps later, the interior of the front of the plane is revealed, showing the plane's front exit door where a doormat also emblazoned with the Trump family seal lays. Then the camera pans up showing that the cockpit is open allowing Kai and friend to waltz on in. In the following shots Kai is seen sitting directly behind the pilots flying Trump Force One. A bobblehead depicting the president-elect in a Terminator-style outfit: black glasses, a black leather jacket, black military-styled pants and black boots, can be seen jiggling on the plane's dashboard. Kai also buckles up in the cockpit to watch the pilots land Trump Force One in Texas The Trumpinator bobblehead showing the president-elect wearing an outfit inspired by the movie 'The Terminator' can be seen on the cockpit dashboard The 'Trumpinator' figurine depicts Trump holding a rifle with red robotic eyes like the Arnold Schwarzenegger character from the 1984 sci-fi flick. As the plane descends, the camera films the final moments before landing. 'This is pretty cool stuff,' Kai says to the camera as the pilots focus on safely getting back on the ground. 'It's not everyday you get to see a plane landed.' Automated flight sensors can be heard warning the pilots as the plane safely descends. '500 ... 100 ... 50 ... 40 ... 30 ... 20 ... 10,' the voice says as the captains bring Trump Force One back to Earth. Then the camera crew and Kai drive off to watch the SpaceX launch with Musk and grandpa Trump. NASSAU, Bahamas — Jeremy Roach made a 3-pointer at the buzzer, and No. 13. Baylor rallied from five points down in the final 18 seconds of the second overtime to beat No. 22 St. John's 99-98 on Thursday night at the Baha Mar Championship. St. John's led 98-93 when Deivon Smith made one of two free throws with 18 seconds left. The Bears cut it to two on VJ Edgecombe's 3-pointer and then fouled the Red Storm's Zuby Ejiofor, who missed both free throws. Norchad Omier rebounded the second miss with 4.1 seconds left, dribbled up the floor and passed to Roach. The Duke transfer elevated over Smith and swished the game-winning 3. Omier had 24 points and 10 rebounds and Roach scored 20 points for the Bears (4-1), who rallied from an 18-point first-half deficit. Roach's 3 gave Baylor a 77-74 lead late in regulation, but Kadary Richmond's jumper with 7 seconds left sent the game to overtime. Ejiofor had 22 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks, and Aaron Scott scored 20 points for St. John's (4-1). Takeaways St. John’s: The Red Storm showed they could play elite defense, especially in the first half. They held the Bears to 36.7% shooting as they took a 44-30 lead at the break. Baylor: The Bears stormed back thanks to 10 3-pointers in the second half and the two extra periods. Key moment Richmond made a pair of free throws with 25 seconds left in the first OT and Roach missed a jumper at the buzzer. Key stat Despite being even in the rebounding battle, Baylor outscored St. John’s 22-8 in second-chance points. Up next Baylor faces the winner of Thursday night’s late game between No. 11 Tennessee and Virginia in the championship game Friday night. St. John's will play in Friday's consolation game.

Australian Broadcasting Corporation chairman Kim Williams gave a frank and critical opinion of Joe Rogan on Tuesday, suggesting the podcast host was taking advantage of the American public. When asked to offer his thoughts on Rogan during his address to the Australian National Press Club, Williams admitted that he was not a consumer of "The Joe Rogan Experience" — a comment that drew laughter from the audience. "I think people like Mr. Rogan prey on people's vulnerabilities," he said. "They prey on fear. They prey on anxiety. They prey on all the elements that contribute to uncertainty in society." He also suggested that Rogan pushes the idea that entrepreneurial and conspiratorial "fantasy" outcomes are a normal part of the "social narrative." SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Colorado secured what it said was record insurance coverage for quarterback Shedeur Sanders and Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter as the star duo opted to complete their college careers in the Alamo Bowl rather than sit out and prepare for the NFL draft. Colorado would not disclose the amount of insurance coverage each received, citing privacy laws. Coach Deion Sanders and athletic director Rick George both said it was the largest in college football history. “We happen to have two players that are probably going to be the first two picks of the NFL draft,” Sanders said Monday. “We all know who those two are and they have received, I think, the highest number of coverage that has ever been covered in college football. It far exceeds anyone that has ever played this game of college football.” While college programs maintain insurance policies for their athletes in case of injury, Colorado increased disability coverage for its entire roster in the Alamo Bowl. Sanders, the coach of the No. 20 Buffaloes, ensured his QB son and two-way star Hunter received larger policies since both are expected to be among the top 10 selections in the upcoming NFL draft. “It was his idea we should get disability insurance for our athletes for this game to ensure that they played and if there was some kind of injury that they would be well taken care of," George said. “So, we worked together on that. We’re excited about it. We think it’s great that all our players are playing in the game. That’s what all bowl games should be like.” Colorado (9-3, No. 23 CFP) will face the 17th-ranked BYU Cougars (10-2, No. 17 CFP) in the Alamo Bowl on Saturday. While most teams are scrambling with starters opting out of bowl games this year to enter the transfer portal or NFL draft, the Buffaloes did not lose any player on their two-deep roster. “It’s more than what I got (when he played at Kansas State),” Colorado linebackers coach Andre’ Hart said. “They gave us a helmet and said pop this on your leg and get out there and play. For them to get that (increased insurance coverage), I just think it’s beneficial. To talk about where the game is, where it’s going and how leadership is taking care of the players, I thought that’s excellent.” Shedeur Sanders completed 337 of 454 passes for 3,926 yards and 35 touchdowns this season. Many scouting services have Sanders rated as the top quarterback in this year's draft. Hunter received the Heisman Trophy as a two-way standout at cornerback and wide receiver. He had 92 receptions for 1,152 yards and 14 touchdowns and as a cornerback had four interceptions, broke up 11 passes and limited the opposition to 22 receptions on 688 defensive snaps. “They’ve taken care of us, everybody,” Colorado running back Micah Welch said. “It really means a lot to have every teammate up here. That's a big thing. What I like about Coach Prime, they’re taking care of us.” Get poll alerts and updates on the AP Top 25 throughout the season. Sign up here . The number of Australian homes bought by foreigners fell last year, as high stamp duty costs deter potential buyers. The downturn reflects the government’s efforts to reduce foreign investment and cut migration, experts say. The number of foreigners purchasing property in Australia dropped last financial year. Credit: Dion Georgopoulos The number of approved residential real estate investments by overseas buyers fell to 5581 in financial year 2024, down from 6576 in 2023 (15 per cent), figures from the Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB) show. The combined value of approved residential real estate proposals from Chinese and Hong Kong buyers (with China the largest foreign-buyer pool in Australia), dropped last financial year from $4 billion to $3 billion. Loading Property portal Juwai IQI co-founder and group managing director Daniel Ho said affordability has unexpectedly become an issue for foreign buyers here. “Foreign buyers pay much more to purchase and to hold property in Australia than local residents and citizens,” Ho said. “They have extra taxes, fees, and duties that local buyers don’t have to worry about.” In Sydney, foreign buyers pay a one-off application fee, a stamp duty surcharge of 8 per cent and an annual land tax surcharge of 4 per cent. Both components will increase to 9 per cent and 5 per cent, respectively, from next year. Buyers who are not Australian citizens or permanent residents are restricted in the types of dwelling they can purchase. Foreign investors are limited to new dwellings or off-the-plan sales, to help boost Australia’s housing stock. The combined value of approved residential real estate proposals from Chinese and Hong Kong buyers dropped from $4 billion to $3 billion last financial year. Credit: Steven Siewert Temporary residents can apply for approval to buy an established home to live in for the duration of their stay, or can also buy an established home for redevelopment if it increases the housing stock. Plus Agency managing director Peter Li said the higher fees and taxes compounded the cost of holding property in Australia as a foreigner. Loading “That’s pushing foreign buyers out of the market. Even if you could afford to buy it, you have to be able to afford to keep it, and that’s why people are selling,” Li said. “Overseas purchasers are cash rich, so they have assets overseas – not just Chinese, I’m talking about Persian, Lebanese, Americans, British. Normally, they sell their assets [to buy in Australia]. So the mortgage is not a big concern ... it’s the surcharges.” He said foreign buyers have been declining since the introduction of fees and surcharges in 2017, especially in unit-heavy markets such as Sydney’s Chatswood and Burwood. Li said they could once sell an entire development to foreign buyers before the introduction of the FIRB application fees and surcharges, but would now struggle to sell one in 10 to them. Cuts to migration levels and increasing difficulties in qualifying for permanent residency were driving foreign buyers from Australian real estate, Li said, which he did not think would improve. OH Property Group’s Henny Stier noted fewer foreign buyers in Sydney’s north and north shore. “A lot of new builds and apartments in places like Epping have dropped ... if they’re not buying, then local buyers are not buying them, so they’re sitting around on the market and prices are dropping,” Stier said. It was more difficult to move cash from countries like China and Indonesia where there were strict limits on withdrawals, Stier said. Stier added the Australian government’s attempts to disincentivise foreign investment were working. In Melbourne, the top destination for Chinese buyer interest in Australia, foreign buyers face an 8 per cent stamp duty fee. Foreign buyers are subject to extra stamp duty costs. Credit: Paul Rovere Director at Belle Property Balwyn Robert Ding said overseas buyers were delaying property purchases until they obtain permanent residency, when the increased stamp duty no longer applies. “When someone’s paying $4 million to $5 million [for a property], it’s quite a hefty fee,” Ding said. “What a lot of these foreign buyers do ... is rent or even buy something of a less substantial value. Once they get permanent residency, which usually takes about four or five years, that’s when they start to buy properties.” Ray White Balwyn director Helen Yan has noticed a downturn in Chinese buyers since the start of this year, when the federal government paused applications for the significant-investor visa which requires recipients to invest $5 million in Australia. “That’s why the high-end property [market] has slowed down a lot,” Yan said. AMP chief economist Shane Oliver said the number of foreigners buying in Australia has probably returned to pre-COVID levels following the post-pandemic housing boom. “Foreign buying was quite weak through the pandemic years because of travel restrictions,” Oliver said. “That sort of slowed down through the pandemic, then there was a bounce back, and I suspect it’s now just settling down after that initial bounce back. “There could also be some cooling associated with the backlash we’re seeing against foreign students, with student visa numbers down, which may have, to some degree, weighed on foreign purchases as well.” Save Log in , register or subscribe to save articles for later. Most Viewed in Property LoadingAntonio Brown teases role in Donald Trump's administration - before swiftly deleting the postAhead of his second $1million tournament championship on Friday night, Impa Kasanganay is only going to make one big purchase with his winnings. The PFL star is taking on his fifth fight since the beginning of last year, and has transformed his life from homelessness to becoming a millionaire by winning last season’s light-heavyweight title. Between seasons, he took on Bellator champion Johnny Eblen in a lucrative Saudi Arabian bout this February. And now he is set for his second world title final on Friday night back in the Kingdom’s capital city of Riyadh. He takes on Dovlet Yagshimuradov, and insists he could have fought even more during his unprecedented period of activity. ALL ELBOWS: PFL announces major rule change three days before $1million world championship tournament finals Impa Kasanganay maintains a connection to homeless past after winning $1million prize In a recent video with on PFL social media, Impa Kasanganay returned to the area where he used to camp after going broke when he was released from the UFC . And he insists it is vitally important that he maintain a link to his difficult past now that he has found success. “There’s a verse I like that says ‘be joyful when you face trials of any kind’, so that breeds perseverance and endurance,” he told Bloody Elbow in an exclusive chat. “I believe people need that and someone told me once ‘fighters are the entertainer’s entertainer’. “Fighters help people, you watch us go into battle and everyone has felt something like that kind of during their life, right? They’re battling with something and they can relate to that. “I think God made me go through those trials. Did I choose to go through that? Did I really want to live in my car for a year? The year was cool and the car was alright but I think when you go through moments like that it’s not just about you. “God uses you to reflect him and work on your life. Now people get to use that moment as an inspiration and it’s a great honor to get to fight in Riyadh, the United States, Africa and beyond. I take that as a great responsibility. Impa Kasanganay will buy a motorcycle with second $1million PFL prize With his first $1million title win, Kasanganay invested in a media company as well as finally achieving his dream of opening a gym. ‘Impa’s Refinery’ in Florida allows beginners and professionals to train in top facilities, and was his biggest purchase after taking home the check. A second victory would appear to allow him some more flexibility with his spending, particularly after already taking a big money fight in February. But he promises that he won’t let himself get carried away after spending the past year learning about business in Harvard during his time off training. “No stupid purchases,” he insisted. “You learn a lot in a year! But I have a team, we’re building out a media company and we’re entering a film festival. I’ve got a lot of great people around and we’re doing a lot of great things. “I think you take on different challenges with success, things you plan for and things you don’t, you learn along the way. The Refinery, I put a lot back into that with trainers and a full staff, I take care of my family, bring everyone around each other. “If I win this year, I’d like a new motorcycle, that’d be about it. Anything I want to do from now on I can build, and it’s cool watching different companies and how they overcame different challenges... I want to invest in my education, maybe a new motorcycle and then hit new heights.” Impa Kasanganay plots Johnny Eblen rematch after world title clash While Kasanganay insists that he will ‘probably disappear for a little bit’ after the finals, he already has one eye on a particular rematch. The sole red mark on his record in the ten bouts since the summer of 2022 is Bellator middleweight champion Johnny Eblen , against whom he wants to avenge his loss. The pair’s ‘Battle of the Champions’ showdown in February saw Eblen emerge victorious by a hair in a razor-close split decision. But the PFL star is confident that he did enough to win, and believes their paths may cross again some day. “I saw Johnny fight Fabian Edwards , he’s a champion and he’s a warrior,” Kasanganay continued. “He brought it to Fabian and then Fabian brought it to him at the end, then Johnny found a way to win. “I know I won that fight, I claim victory, and I’m always grateful for that. Without that fight I don’t believe I’d be the person and the fighter that I am today, this is no shot at him, we’ve had a private conversation and there’s respect. “I respect the fact that he has called me out, so soon enough that fight will come. Right now on Friday I’ll claim this victory and that’s my focus, but after that see me in January and I’m ready to go.” Who is Francis Ngannou? Inside the former UFC heavyweight champion’s journey from poverty to combat sports superstardomJamie Carragher has revealed he's been left 'very disappointed' by Mohamed Salah after he delivered a huge Liverpool contract update. The Reds legend sees his current deal expire at the end of the season and could therefore leave after eight glittering years at Anfield. After he scored two goals in Liverpool's 3-2 win at Southampton on Sunday, Salah said he's not received any offers from the club to stay. He also claimed he's 'probably more out than in', and his comments have not sat well with fellow club legend Carragher , who called him 'selfish'. Speaking on Monday Night Football for Sky Sports on Monday, he said: "Of course there's been discussions. "Right now, there's obviously a big difference in the valuation, what Mo Salah and his agent value themselves at, whether that's financially or in terms in length of contract, to what Liverpool do. "So the reason Liverpool wouldn't have offered a contract yet is because Mo Salah will turn it down. So they're still in talks, maybe... I'm desperate for them to meet in the middle. But I must say, I am very disappointed with Mo Salah." Presenter David Jones asked why, with Carragher then replying: "That interview yesterday, last night after the game and it comes out today. "Liverpool have got Real Madrid midweek and they've got Manchester City at the weekend, that's the story for Liverpool right now. "Mo Salah, we're all quite aware, certainly the local reporters are in Liverpool, that in the seven years he's been at the football club, he's stopped in the mixed zone twice, which is his right, which is absolutely fine. "But he decided to stop for the third time away at Southampton on the back of winning Liverpool the game and putting that out. "Now, the most important thing for Liverpool Football Club this season is not the future of Mo Salah, it's not the future of Virgil van Dijk and it's not the future of Trent Alexander-Arnold. "The most important thing is Liverpool winning the Premier League, that is more important than any of those players. "And if he continues to put comments out or his agent keeps putting cryptic tweets out, that's selfish, that's thinking about themselves and not the football club." Jones then asked if perhaps that Salah does not feel as though he is getting the love he deserves at Liverpool. However, Carragher responded: "Well, he's certainly getting the love from me and Liverpool supporters and they're in talks, that is part of football. "I would say Mo Salah is in the top five players to ever play for Liverpool Football Club. I would go Steven Gerrard, Kenny Dalglish, Graeme Souness, Ian Rush, and I'd put Mo Salah in fifth position. That's how highly I rate him, that's how special this guy is..." "So give him what he wants, surely?" asked Jones, but Carragher said: "No. It's not about giving somebody what they want. "But, what I would say is, I hope Mo Salah and the other two players who are involved in this, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, [don't] feel like this club will fall apart if they ever move on. "Steven Gerrard left the football club, the next manager came in and won the league. Steven Gerrard didn't win the league, Jurgen Klopp won the league with a new team. "Kenny Dalglish, at that time Liverpool's greatest ever player, when he stopped playing, Peter Beardsley came in and was part of probably the greatest footballing team we've ever seen in a red shirt in 1988. "Graeme Souness left, Liverpool won the double for the first time in their history two years later in 1986. Ian Rush moved on, after him came John Aldridge, and then later when Ian Rush moved on, Robbie Fowler came. "And Salah, would we miss him if he moved on? Of course we would but I can assure you, Liverpool will move on." Salah has scored 223 goals in 367 appearances for Liverpool across all competitions, with the Egyptian assisting another 99. The 32-year-old is the club's record goalscorer in the Premier League with 165 goals, which puts him eighth in the league's all-time list. He has been pivotal to Liverpool's success in recent years that has included Premier League and Champions League triumphs. However, this could be Salah's final season at the club, especially if he and the club are unable to agree on a new contract. talkSPORT reported earlier in the month that Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal want to sign the winger ahead of the Club World Cup.

Now, Donald Trump again wants Greenland . The president-elect is renewing unsuccessful calls he made during his first term for the U.S. to buy Greenland from Denmark, adding to the list of allied countries with which he's picking fights even before taking office on Jan. 20. In a Sunday announcement naming his ambassador to Denmark, Trump wrote that, “For purposes of National Security and Freedom throughout the World, the United States of America feels that the ownership and control of Greenland is an absolute necessity." Trump again having designs on Greenland comes after the president-elect suggested over the weekend that the U.S. could retake control of the Panama Canal if something isn't done to ease rising shipping costs required for using the waterway linking the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. He's also been suggesting that Canada become the 51st U.S. state and referred to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as “governor” of the “Great State of Canada.” Stephen Farnsworth, a political science professor at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia, said Trump tweaking friendly countries harkens back to an aggressive style he used during his days in business. “You ask something unreasonable and it’s more likely you can get something less unreasonable,” said Farnsworth, who is also author of the book “Presidential Communication and Character.” Greenland, the world’s largest island, sits between the Atlantic and Arctic oceans. It is 80% covered by an ice sheet and is home to a large U.S. military base. It gained home rule from Denmark in 1979 and its head of government, Múte Bourup Egede, suggested that Trump’s latest calls for U.S. control would be as meaningless as those made in his first term. “Greenland is ours. We are not for sale and will never be for sale,” he said in a statement. “We must not lose our years-long fight for freedom.” The Danish Prime Minister’s Office said in its own statement that the government is “looking forward to welcoming the new American ambassador. And the Government is looking forward to working with the new administration.” “In a complex security political situation as the one we currently experience, transatlantic cooperation is crucial,” the statement said. It noted that it had no comment on Greenland except for it “not being for sale, but open for cooperation.” Trump canceled a 2019 visit to Denmark after his offer to buy Greenland was rejected by Copenhagen, and ultimately came to nothing . He also suggested Sunday that the U.S. is getting “ripped off” at the Panama Canal. “If the principles, both moral and legal, of this magnanimous gesture of giving are not followed, then we will demand that the Panama Canal be returned to the United States of America, in full, quickly and without question,” he said. Panama President José Raúl Mulino responded in a video that “every square meter of the canal belongs to Panama and will continue to,” but Trump fired back on his social media site, “We’ll see about that!” The president-elect also posted a picture of a U.S. flag planted in the canal zone under the phrase, “Welcome to the United States Canal!” The United States built the canal in the early 1900s but relinquished control to Panama on Dec. 31, 1999, under a treaty signed in 1977 by President Jimmy Carter . The canal depends on reservoirs that were hit by 2023 droughts that forced it to substantially reduce the number of daily slots for crossing ships. With fewer ships, administrators also increased the fees that shippers are charged to reserve slots to use the canal. The Greenland and Panama flareups followed Trump recently posting that “Canadians want Canada to become the 51st State" and offering an image of himself superimposed on a mountaintop surveying surrounding territory next to a Canadian flag. Trudeau suggested that Trump was joking about annexing his country, but the pair met recently at Trump's Mar-a-Lago club in Florida to discuss Trump's threats to impose a 25% tariff on all Canadian goods. “Canada is not going to become part of the United States, but Trump’s comments are more about leveraging what he says to get concessions from Canada by putting Canada off balance, particularly given the precarious current political environment in Canada,” Farnsworth said. “Maybe claim a win on trade concessions, a tighter border or other things.” He said the situation is similar with Greenland. “What Trump wants is a win," Farnsworth said. "And even if the American flag doesn’t raise over Greenland, Europeans may be more willing to say yes to something else because of the pressure.” Associated Press writers Gary Fields in Washington and Geir Moulson in Berlin contributed to this report.

Children are being recruited into Haitian armed gangs at an alarming rate, UNICEF says

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has told the Supreme Court that Tamil Nadu minister V Senthil Balaji has deliberately attempted to delay trial court proceedings in the money laundering case related to the cash-for-job scam, in which the top court had granted him bail. In an affidavit filed on a petition by one of the victims, the ED sought cancellation of bail of Balaji, who was sworn in as a minister by Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi again on September 29 and was assigned the same key portfolios -- electricity, non-conventional energy development, prohibition and excise -- he held previously in the MK Stalin-led cabinet. On Friday, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta told a bench headed by Justice Oka that the agency needs to file an affidavit in the matter as Balaji has been sabotaging the trial. The bench also comprising Justice Pankaj Mithal allowed the ED to file the affidavit and listed the matter for further hearing on December 18. The top court had granted bail to DMK strongman Balaji on September 26, in the money laundering case after over 15 months, noting there was no possibility of the completion of trial in the near future. "That the aforementioned facts unequivocally demonstrate V Senthil Balaji's blatant disregard for the judicial process and his deliberate attempts to delay the trial. Despite this court's directive to expedite the trial, V Senthil Balaji has drawn out the cross examination of PW- 4 (prosecution witness) on one pretext or another for nearly two months," it said. The anti-money laundering agency said this blatant disregard for the Supreme Court's instructions is a clear attempt to procrastinate and delay the trial proceedings. "In the light of the foregoing, it is amply clear that V Senthil Balaji has violated the direction given by this court by seeking adjournments on nonexistent or frivolous grounds or creating hurdles in the early disposal of the cases mentioned above," it said. The investigating agency said some of the key witnesses cited in the prosecution complaint (ED's equivalent of charge sheet) filed by ED are individuals who previously worked under Balaji's supervision during his tenure as transport minister. "This proximity between V Senthil Balaji and the employees of the transport corporation raises serious concerns about potential influence and impartiality in fair and effective trial now that V Senthil Balaji has reassumed office as a minister," it said. On December 2, the top court had expressed concern over reinstatement of Balaji as cabinet minister in Tamil Nadu just days after it granted bail in the case and agreed to examine a plea raising apprehensions on independence of witnesses in the case. On October 25, the top court in another matter related to Balaji was informed that a petition seeking review of an order of bail to the DMK leader in the case had been filed. The top court on September 30, directed the Madras High Court chief justice to appoint another judge for the trial against Balaji. The ED arrested Balaji, representing Karur assembly constituency, on June 14, 2023 in the case when he was the transport minister during the previous AIADMK regime between 2011 and 2015. On February 13, the TN governor accepted Balaji's resignation from the council of ministers. The top court's reprieve on September 26 ended Balaji's 471-day incarceration. The ED had filed a case of money laundering in July 2021 to probe the allegations after three FIRs were registered by the Tamil Nadu police in 2018 and on the basis of complaints by those aggrieved in the alleged scam. The agency's charge sheet claimed the entire recruitment process in the Tamil Nadu transport department during the tenure of Balaji as minister was turned into a "corrupt chiefdom", and the scam was executed under his authority. Being a public servant, Balaji "misused" his official capacity as the then transport minister and obtained pecuniary benefits by corrupt and illegal means and directly acquired the proceeds of crime, generated out of a criminal activity related to a scheduled offence, the agency alleged.
