AUTO giant BMW plans to pull a beloved model from US stores in the new year as new orders are no longer being accepted. The M8 Coupe will stop production at the beginning of 2025, according to a dealer bulletin. An announcement sent to BMW reportedly said the 2025 model year is the last year for the coupe, according to BMW Blog . No 2026 model is planned for the car, which was first introduced by the German automaker in 2019. Orders have already closed for the car - meaning if you planned to order one but haven't yet, you're out of luck. All orders that were in 047 or 105 statuses by December 20 will be processed within two weeks. READ MORE ON DISCONTINUED CARS The model will be removed from the BMW website and Build Your Own configurator next month. It's unclear why the car is being discontinued. BMW hasn't returned The U.S. Sun's request for comment. The move leaves the M8 Convertible and M8 Gran Coupe for BMW lovers to buy. Most read in Motors It comes as BMW is also expected to unveil an electric version of the iconic M3 model . The new car, dubbed the iM3, is expected to have a power boost thanks to a quad-motor setup. Frank van Meel, who heads the M Division, also confirmed the brand will be looking into "simulated gear change" tech. "If you have just one gear and you have no feedback at all, you don’t know how fast you are going and you cannot look down at the speed," van Meel said. "You should always know how fast you are going, and that’s missing if you have no acoustic feedback and no haptic feedback. "We are looking into different ways of giving you that." Dozens of cars won't make it to the 2025 model year, including sedans, some SUVs, and sports cars. The M8 Coupe isn't the only BMW model being discontinued in the new year as the X3M is also ceasing production. Plus, the automaker confirmed earlier this year that the X4 model will soon be phased out. The news comes after Toyota announced the beloved Toyota Venza won't make it to the next model year after four years on the market.
