While the player may offer experience, leadership, and quality on the pitch, there are legitimate concerns about his ability to adapt to Barcelona's style of play and the physical demands of top-level football. Ultimately, the club's hierarchy and coaching staff must carefully weigh the pros and cons before making a final decision on whether this aging attacker is truly suitable for Barcelona. Only time will tell if this potential signing will prove to be a successful addition to the squad or a risky gamble that may not pay off in the long run.

The Eagle S has been moved from the Gulf of Finland to an anchorage near the Finnish port of Kilpilahti to facilitate the investigation, the police said in a statement. A one-nautical-mile exclusion zone was set up around the tanker “to ensure operational safety of the authorities.” The ship was stopped after the undersea power cable Estlink2 between Finland and Estonia failed on December 25. Investigators are looking into the possibility of sabotage. The ship sails under the flag of the Cook Islands in the South Pacific. According to the EU, the vessel is part of the Russian “shadow fleet” - tankers and other cargo ships that Russia uses to circumvent international sanctions by transporting oil, for example. Problems have also been identified with several communication cables in the Baltic Sea in recent weeks. Meanwhile, NATO has said it will enhance its military presence in the Baltic Sea, and Estonia has sent a patrol ship to protect its Estlink1 undersea power cable, after Russia was accused of sabotaging its main power link in the Gulf of Finland. The EU said the Eagle S was part of “Russia’s shadow fleet” and the failure of the undersea cable was the “latest in a series of suspected attacks on critical infrastructure”. Estonian Defence Minister Hanno Pevkur said the Raju had set sail early on Friday and he believed Finland would join the operation to protect the remaining cable. He told Estonian public radio that the Raju’s task was “to ensure that nothing happens there and that our critical connection with Finland remains operational”. The Kremlin has declined to comment on the damage to the cable, describing it as a “very narrow issue” and not an issue for the Russian presidency. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said on social media that he had spoken to Finland’s president, Alexander Stubb, adding that NATO would boost its presence in the Baltic. A further statement by the alliance said only that “NATO remains vigilant and is working to provide further support”. Finland and Estonia are both NATO members and Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal told public TV that, if necessary, they would invoke Article 4 of the NATO Treaty, which involves consultation if any member state feels threatened. Nov. 23—If you're planning on traveling domestically this Thanksgiving or throughout this holiday season, then you've probably wondered if you will need a REAL ID-compliant form of identification. And the answer to that is no, you don't need one — yet. Officials with the Washington State Department of Licensing (DOL), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), SEA International Airport (SEA), and Alaska Airlines announced in a news release earlier this year that Washington state residents will need to have a REAL ID-compliant driver's license, identification card or other acceptable document to board a commercial flight by May 7, 2025. "We want Washington residents to be ready, and this is a reminder that you have one year to look at your identity document options and determine which one best fits your lifestyle," stated Marcus Glasper, DOL director, in a press release. "You may already have the travel ID you need if you have one of many REAL ID-compliant documents, including Washington's enhanced driver license or ID card. We strongly encourage residents not to wait and to prepare now." This past September, the TSA proposed a rule that would give federal agencies the "flexibility to begin enforcement of the REAL ID regulations on the May 7, 2025, deadline in a manner that takes into account security, operational risk and public impact." This rule does not extend the May 7, 2025 deadline, but instead is intended to allow TSA to consider a phased enforcement approach of the REAL ID regulation. Under this rule, passengers traveling without a REAL-ID compliant form of identification or another form of approved identification after the deadline could experience long delays at security checkpoints. So what is an enhanced driver's license and an enhanced ID card, and why will you need one by May 2025? Here's what to know. What's an enhanced driver's license, enhanced ID card? Washington's enhanced driver's licenses (EDLs) and enhanced ID cards (EIDs) both comply with the federal REAL ID Act that was passed by Congress in 2005 and enacted a "recommendation from the 9/11 Commission that established minimum security standards for state-issued driver licenses and identification cards." Washington EDLs and EIDs are valid for domestic air travel and can be used to cross the border of Canada and Mexico by land or sea. "TSA currently accepts multiple forms of photo identification from travelers as part of our identity verification process. We will continue to do so once the federal enforcement of REAL ID begins," TSA Federal Security Director for Washington Greg Hawko stated in the news release. "If you are a traveler who prefers to use your state-issued driver license or identification card, please act now to ensure that your photo ID is REAL ID-compliant. That will ensure that you are ready to travel on or after May 7, 2025." Aside from traveling, REAL ID's, EDLs and EIDs will also be needed to enter certain federal buildings once the federal deadline comes around. What do documents do you need to get an EDL? To get a REAL ID, you need one way to prove your identity, two ways to prove your residence and your social security number. The DOL has a toolkit that helps residents prepare for the upcoming REAL ID travel requirements. Acceptable proof of identity documents include: — Original birth certificate — Passport documents — Resident/citizenship documents, i.e. a permanent resident card, certificate of naturalization or certificate of citizenship — These must be the original documents, not photocopies — You can prove your social security number with your Social Security card Some acceptable proof-of-residency documents include: — Cell phone bill or statement — Tribal ID — Home utility or service document (bill, statement, hook-up order, etc.) for Washington address (gas, electric, water, garbage, sewer, landline phone, TV, internet, ISTA) — Lease or rental agreement — Mortgage statements — Insurance policy — Washington vehicle registration According to the DOL, you will not need to show your Social Security card, but you will need to provide your Social Security number. How much does it cost? The cost for obtaining an EDL or EID in the state of Washington varies depending on if you are purchasing a new license or ID or if you are upgrading a current driver's license or ID. First EDL card fee: $116 for five years — $35 application fee plus a $1 technology fee plus a $16 per year issuance fee Upgrade current Washington driver's license to an EDL: $7 to $56 — $7 per year for the time remaining on your license First EDL card fee: $96 to $128 — $96 for six years — $128 for eight years Upgrade current Washington ID to an EID: $7 to $32 — $7 per year for the time remaining on your license (c)2024 The News Tribune (Tacoma, Wash.) GUINNESS "panic-buying" has pubs fearing they may run out before Christmas as the drinks giant warned of a cap on the number of kegs available. Pubs may run out of the drink, one of Britain's most popular pints , following the unprecedented spike in demand for the black stuff. The number of kegs that pubs can receive have had “allocation limits” placed on them by its owner, drinks giant Diageo, as it aims to manage supplies across the UK. While it has been quick to reassure drinkers that taps will not run dry, one pub company warned its managers that "quantities may be limited through the festive season ". The spike in demand is understood to have come from a spell of colder weather and four weekends of rugby union internationals in November. This may have stretched supply of the Irish stout, which has become increasingly popular in recent years. Read More on Pubs The once unfashionable brand has even birthed its own fan base, with so-called "Guinnfluencers" now all over social media . Stars ranging from Hugh Jackman all the way to Kim Kardashian have shown their love for the drink . Earlier this year, Diageo’s chief executive Debra Crew said sales of the black stuff among UK women had increased 24 per cent. The drink also has a special place amongst rugby fans, having been affiliated with the sport for 60-years, and has been the official beer of the Six Nations since 2007. Most read in Money England , Scotland and Ireland played four home matches in the autumn internationals series, while Wales played three in November. Pubs were regularly packed out with fans both celebrating and drowning their sorrows. An email from one large pub company to publicans, seen by The Times , said it while it was managing the situation, "stock allocation" would be in place. It did however add that regular deliveries of Guinness would take place throughout December, although quantities available for order may be "limited" over the festive period. Other pub operators have confirmed they have been “restricted”. One publican said some of his competitors were “ panic buying ” to prepare for the festive period, further stretching supply. A spokesman for Diageo said: “Over the past month we have seen exceptional consumer demand for Guinness in Great Britain. "We have maximised supply and we are working proactively with our customers to manage the distribution to trade as efficiently as possible. This comes as boozers were outraged after it was announced a dozen popular beers are set to be axed from pubs over Christmas. Carlsberg Marston's Brewing Company (CMBC) is ditching 11 classic British cask beers in a matter of weeks. The bizarre decision is said to have a "huge impact" on pubs and pub-goers. The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) were the first to spot the delisting, slamming the decision as "another example of a globally owned business wiping out UK brewing heritage". READ MORE SUN STORIES The organisation's Cider and Perry campaigns director and vice chair Gillian Hough fumed: "This loss of consumer choice is the inevitable outcome of a brewing conglomerate run by accountants and the bottom line. "This is a sad and disappointing decision that puts both the history and the future of British brewing in jeopardy."
