COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Will Howard passed for two touchdowns and rushed for another, TreVeyon Henderson ran for a score and No. 2 Ohio State beat previously undefeated No. 5 Indiana 38-15 on Saturday. All Ohio State (10-1, 7-1 Big Ten, CFP No. 2) has to do now is beat Michigan at home next Saturday and it will earn a return to the Big Ten championship game for the first time since 2020 and get a rematch with No. 1 Oregon. The Ducks beat Ohio State 32-31 in a wild one back on Oct. 12. The Hoosiers (10-1, 7-1, No. 5 CFP) had their best chance to beat the Buckeyes for the first time since 1988 but were hurt by special teams mistakes and disrupted by an Ohio State defence that sacked Canadian quarterback Kurtis Rourke five times. “In life, all good things come to an end,” Indiana coach Curt Cignetti said. Late in the first half, Indiana punter James Evans fumbled a snap and was buried at his own 7-yardline with the Buckeyes taking over. That turned quickly into a 4-yard TD run by Henderson that gave the Buckeyes a 14-7 lead. Early in the second half, Caleb Downs fielded an Evans punt at the Ohio State 21, raced down the right sideline, cut to the middle and outran the coverage for a TD that put the Buckeyes up 21-7. It was the first time a Buckeye returned a punt for a touchdown since 2014. Howard finished 22 for 26 for 201 yards. Emeka Egbuka had seven catches for 80 yards and a TD. “Our guys just played with a chip today, and that’s the way you got to play the game of football,” Ohio State coach Ryan Day said. Indiana scored on its first possession of the game and its last, both short runs by Ty Son Lawson, who paced the Hoosiers with 79 rushing yards. Rourke, a 24-year-old from Oakville, Ont., is the brother of BC Lions QB Nathan Rourke. He was 8 for 18 for 68 yards. “We had communication errors, pass (protection), every time we dropped back to pass, something bad happened,” Cignetti said. Indiana’s 151 total yards was its lowest of the season. And it was the most points surrendered by the Hoosier’s defence. The takeaway Indiana: Its special season was blemished by the Buckeyes, who beat the Hoosiers for the 30th straight time. Indiana was eyeing its first conference crown since sharing one with two other teams in 1967. That won’t happen now. “Ohio State deserved to win,” Cignetti said. “They had those (third quarter scores), and we just couldn’t respond.” Ohio State: Didn’t waste the opportunities presented by the Hoosiers when they got sloppy. The Buckeyes led 14-7 at the break and took control in the second half. An offensive line patched together because of multiple injuries performed surprisingly well. “We know what was at stake,” Day said. “We don’t win this game, and we have no chance to go to Indianapolis and play in the Big Ten championship. And that’s real. We’ve had that approach for the last few weeks now, more than that.” Poll implications Some voters were obviously unsure of Indiana because it hadn’t played a nationally ranked team before Ohio State. After this one, the Hoosiers will drop. All about Will Howard made history by completing 80% of his passes for the sixth time this season. No other Ohio State quarterback has done that. He completed his first 14 passes in a row and finished with a 85% completion rate. “I think Buckeye nation is now seeing, after 11 games, that this guy is a winner, he’s tough, he cares about his teammates, he’s a leader,” Day said. Up next Indiana hosts Purdue in the regular-season finale next Saturday. Ohio State hosts rival Michigan on Saturday. ___ Get poll alerts and updates on the AP Top 25 throughout the season. Earlier this week, Surtain said, “it’s great to have him back” at practice. “I mean, you talk about a guy who was playing lights-out before the injury, but to see him back out there with confidence, out there practicing, getting his mojo back, it brings a lot of confidence to the team.” Moss has enjoyed a breakout season in Denver with 71 tackles, eight pass breakups and an interception. These functionaries, it is proposed, will interact with the Union and state ministers, senior organisational leaders, as well as MPs and MLAs, to bolster the saffron agenda while offsetting the challenges posed by the opposition, especially in politically crucial states like UP. A broad outline of the idea was reportedly laid during a high-level meeting of NDA partners in New Delhi at the residence of BJP chief JP Nadda on Wednesday. Sources privy to the meeting, which was also attended by Shah, said that BJP leadership stressed the need to become "more aggressive" and adopt a cohesive approach in facing the opposition. Shah urged NDA leaders not to get distracted by unnecessary controversies fanned by Congress and other opposition parties and to focus on positive governance initiatives and delivering results on the ground. "It is time for the NDA to show unity while setting aside differences, if any," a senior BJP leader said, adding that the message has been conveyed to all the allies emphatically. Political analysts point out that the NDA allies in UP, including Apna Dal (S), Nishad party, SBSP and the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD), did put up a resilient front to shield Shah — the chief poll master of the saffron camp — after his statement on Ambedkar in Parliament. "Whose entire history is full of insulting Baba Saheb is now teaching us to respect him," posted Apna Dal (S) chief and Union minister Anupriya Patel on her X account recently. She also made a clear reference to how during the Lok Sabha elections Congress created a "false perception" against the Narendra Modi govt with the help of doctored videos and false facts. "Now a shameful conspiracy is being hatched to present the incomplete speech of the home minister Amit Shah," she said. Likewise, SBSP chief and cabinet minister in the UP govt, Om Prakash Rajbhar also hit back at Congress, terming it as the biggest opponent of Ambedkar. "The whole country knows who made Ambedkar lose the Lok Sabha elections. Congress and Samajwadi Party are against Ambedkar. Who violated the Constitution and who imposed emergency? PM Modi and CM Yogi are fulfilling Ambedkar's dream," he said. Similarly, the RLD chief and Union minister Jayant Chaudhary dismissed the entire batch of party spokespersons after one of them, Kamal Gautam criticised Shah for his comment. The move, analysts said, underlined RLD's damage control bid since it is part of the NDA. Stay updated with the latest news on Times of India . Taoiseach Simon Harris said he also wanted to tell Nikita Hand, a hair colourist from Drimnagh, that her case had prompted an increase in women coming forward to ask for support. Ms Hand, who accused the sportsman of raping her in a Dublin hotel in December 2018, won her claim against him for damages in a civil case at the High Court in the Irish capital on Friday. The total amount of damages awarded to Ms Hand by the jury was 248,603.60 euro (£206,714.31). Mr McGregor said in a post on social media on Friday that he intends to appeal against the decision. That post has since been deleted. Speaking to the media on Saturday, Mr Harris said he told Ms Hand of the support she has from people across Ireland. “I spoke with Nikita today and I wanted to thank her for her incredible bravery and her courage,” he said. “I wanted to make sure that she knew how much solidarity and support there was across this country for her bravery. “I also wanted to make sure she knew of what the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre had said yesterday – that so many other women have now come forward in relation to their own experiences of sexual abuse as a result of Nikita’s bravery.” The Dublin Rape Crisis Centre said the case has had a “profound effect” on the people the charity supports, and that over the first 10 days of the High Court case, calls to its national helpline increased by almost 20%. It said that first-time callers increased by 50% compared to the same period last year, and were largely from people who had experienced sexual violence who were distressed and anxious from the details of case and the views people had to it. Mr Harris said: “I wanted to speak with her and I wanted to wish her and her daughter, Freya, all the very best night, and I was very grateful to talk with Nikita today. “Her bravery, her courage, her voice has made a real difference in a country in which we must continue to work to get to zero tolerance when it comes to domestic, sexual and gender-based violence. “I don’t want to say too much more, because conscious there could be further legal processes, but I absolutely want to commend Nikita for her bravery, for her courage, for using her voice.” Justice Minister Helen McEntee praised Ms Hand’s bravery and said she had shown “there is light at the end of the tunnel”. She said: “I just want to commend Nikita for her bravery, for her determination and the leadership that she has shown in what has been – I’ve no doubt – a very, very difficult time for her and indeed, for her family. She added: “Because of wonderful people like Nikita, I hope that it shows that there is light at the end of the tunnel, that there are supports available to people, and that there is justice at the end of the day.” Ms Hand said in a statement outside court on Friday that she hoped her case would remind victims of assault to keep “pushing forward for justice”. Describing the past six years as “a nightmare”, she said: “I want to show (my daughter) Freya and every other girl and boy that you can stand up for yourself if something happens to you, no matter who the person is, and justice will be served.” During the case, Ms Hand said she was “disappointed and upset” when the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) decided not to prosecute the case after she made a complaint to the Irish police. In a letter to her in August 2020, the DPP said there was “insufficient evidence” and there was not a reasonable prospect of conviction. Ms Hand asked the DPP to review the decision, saying she felt she was being treated differently because one of the suspects was famous. Asked about the DPP’s decision not to prosecute, Mr Harris and Ms McEntee stressed the importance of the DPP’s independence on whether to prosecute. “There are obviously structures in place where the DPP can meet a victim and can outline to them their reasons for not taking the case,” Mr Harris said. “But there’s also always an opportunity for the DPP in any situation – and I speak broadly in relation to this – to review a decision, to consider any new information that may come to light, and I don’t want to say anything that may ever cut across the ongoing work of the DPP.” Ms McEntee stressed that there should “never be any political interference” in the independence of the DPP’s decisions. “I have, since becoming minister, given priority to and enabled a new office within the DPP to open specifically focused on sexual offences, so that this issue can be given the focus and the priority that it needs,” she said.

'Devastating': sailors killed in Sydney to Hobart race after boom accidentsOffice occupancy levels are still below where they were prior to the pandemic, but employers are becoming more forceful about in-office work, says Mark Rose, chief executive of Avison Young Sean Kilpatrick/The Canadian Press With the economy weakening and jobs becoming harder to get, employers now have the upper hand in their efforts to bring workers back to the office, says the head of one of Canada’s largest commercial real estate services firms. While office occupancy levels are still below where they were prior to the pandemic, employers are becoming more forceful about requiring staff to work in-person, said Mark Rose, chief executive of Avison Young, which brokers leases, values commercial real estate and provides research, among other services. “It’s more of an employer’s market,” Mr. Rose said in a recent interview. Large employers such as Amazon.com Inc. and the federal government have increased the number of days workers must be in the office. Amazon is requiring its office workers in Canada to show up in-person five days a week starting in January. Ottawa mandated federal civil servants to be back in the office a minimum of three days a week starting in September. Insurer Canada Life increased the number of required in-person days to three from two in the fall, while Telus Corp. has told its call-centre staff that they have to work in-person three days a week. Canadian employers take an increasingly harder line on returning to the office Mr. Rose said he is in constant communication with employers such as banks and other financial-services firms, whose executives have told him that they want their employees back in-person. And on the flip side, Mr. Rose also believes workers need to be visible in the office to advance their careers. “I 100 per cent believe that people missed out on promotions because they weren’t seen,” Mr. Rose said. “People’s careers, people’s social activities, people’s knowledge base all rely upon being seen,” he said. Statistics show more people are coming back to the office. The average occupancy volume in downtown Toronto’s office towers was at 72 per cent of prepandemic levels in early November, according to data from consulting firm Strategic Regional Research Alliance. Wednesdays were the peak day, with occupancy at 84 per cent of prepandemic levels. And the slowest day continued to be Friday, at 43 per cent. November’s occupancy rates were the highest since the pandemic upended office work and employees started working from home en masse. By comparison, occupancy levels averaged 36 per cent in November, 2022, and just 16 per cent in the same month in 2021. Toronto has been one of the slowest major business districts in Canada to recover. Some have blamed the city’s long-running stay-at-home pandemic mandates, which helped cement employees’ remote work habits. Mr. Rose said employers need to be even more forceful in getting their staff back to the office. He called on major employers such as local governments and large financial-services firms to increase requirements for office attendance. He said some of the most reluctant to return are senior employees who are just below the executive rank. “What we still have is the layer below the C-suite of senior people. They still believe that they earned the right during their careers to choose not to have a commute,” Mr. Rose said. Even though more employers have been cracking down on remote work, the office vacancy rate is still climbing. Downtown Toronto’s rate was 15.7 per cent in the third quarter, the highest level since before the pandemic. More than a dozen new office skyscrapers have opened over the past four years. That has added reams of new space to the market as employees shifted to remote work. There is now a total of 82.7 million square feet of office space in downtown Toronto, compared with 74 million square feet in 2019, according to Avison data. The new office towers were planned before the pandemic, when downtown Toronto had an office vacancy rate well below 5 per cent and tech companies and other businesses were desperately looking to have a presence in the core. The new towers include the 47-storey TD Terrace and the CIBC Square complex, which when completed will have two large skyscrapers. Avison Young has operations in 20 countries including the United States, Britain, Germany and South Korea.Pinnacle Financial Partners, Inc. (NASDAQ:PNFP) Shares Bought by Caprock Group LLC

Liverpool are now seven points clear at the top of the Premier league after a comeback victory against Leicester City at Anfield. The Reds recovered from Jordan Ayew's early goal by striking either side of half-time, before Mo Salah sealed the three points late on. Cody Gakpo curled in a sublime equaliser in first-half stoppage time, and just after the break Curtis Jones tapped in from Salah's cut back. And the 'Egyptian King' himself finished off matters late on with a trademark low finish. Express Sport looks brings you the Liverpool player ratings below... Liverpool player ratings: Alisson 5 Beaten by Ayew's low shot after just six minutes, but a virtual spectator thereafter. Trent Alexander-Arnold 8 Range of passing and crosses, in the first-half especially, was superb. A tense few weeks ahead as his contract negotiations continue. Joe Gomez 6 Didn't look entirely comfortable when Leicester did break forward but no glaring errors. Virgil van Dijk 6 One vital first-half interception after causing the slight deflection that aided Ayew's opener. Was fortunate Patson Daka fluffed his second-half chance though after not getting tight enough. Andy Robertson 5 Had his moments, hitting the post in the first-half, but was shoved off the ball way too easily by Ayew for his goal. Still struggling defensively. Alexis Mac Allister 7 A mixed bag early on, full of intensity but misplacing passes. Soon settled down and linked well with his forwards. Ryan Gravenberch 7 Another rock-solid display from the Dutch midfielder. Leicester's deep-lying tactics helped him bring the ball upfield with comfort. Curtis Jones 9 Another energetic display capped by him scoring the winner. Went close twice more and now a key performer for his team. Mohamed Salah 8 What can you say anymore? At times itt didn't seem his best night, but produced two stunning efforts. One hit the bar, the other nestled in the net. Cody Gakpo 8 Given a chance by Arne Slot and he took it. Great finish for his goal and teed up Salah for the clincher. Darwin Nunez 4 Once again worked hard, but his woeful time in front of goal goes on. Headed well wide early on and blasted a later chance way over. Subs Diogo Jota (for Nunez, 78) 7 Busy when he came on and offered a different option. Dominik Szoboszlai (for Jones, 77) 5 Came on, picked up a needless booking, and now suspended for the West Ham game. Not a great cameo. Waturu Endo (for Gravenberch, 87) 6 Tidy enough but on too late to make any real impact. Kostas Tsimikas (for Robertson, 86) 5 Little involvement after coming on. Harvey Elliott (for Mac Allister, 92) 5 A late change to kill seconds.Investors are always on the lookout for stocks with powerful earnings prospects. We of course reviewed multiple more premium cars too, but this article will focus on the more palatable cheaper alternatives. Some of these models have been reviewed on multiple occasions this year, so we've only featured the variant that achieved the highest rating. Prices are based on each manufacturer's configurators using a Victorian postcode, which should provide a representative estimate of what the average Australian buyer will end up paying. The cheapest Corolla proved to be a solid car as a sedan, evidenced by marketplace editor James Wong's class-leading score of 8.5 out of 10. We praised the Corolla for its efficiency and interior practicality, the latter of which is particularly strong in the Ascent Sport sedan we reviewed. It also scored well on cost of ownership and safety, while its ride comfort, handling dynamics, and value for money were identified as general strengths. We also expect it to be "endlessly reliable" given its Toyota construction, something that will be a benefit for new Corolla buyers. Its uninspiring nature was listed as a negative though, and supply constraints at the time of our original review also put a question mark over the Japanese brand's ability to meet demand. We felt its performance wasn't quite up to scratch either, but we thought it was overall a strong iteration into the traditionally safe Corolla range. Given the size of the i30 range we had loads of reviews of the various variants published over 2024, four of which shared in the same score of 8.4. The only hatchback to receive 8.4 in 2024 was the N Line, which is the entry to the updated i30 Hatch range. We liked its sporty handling and surprisingly peppy engine, but it lost marks for value as it's too expensive for an "entry" model. Then there was the base i30 Sedan, which opens the entire range by sneaking under $30,000 drive-away. We appreciated the space available in the second row as well as its engine and transmission combo, but felt it was cheap in places and was hindered by its annoying speed limit assist. Equally, the i30 Sedan N Line was praised for its interior space, as well as its "great pricing and specs" and its "sharp looks". It suffered from the same drawbacks as the standard sedan, and we weren't impressed by its "terrible shut lines". At the top of the range is the i30 Sedan N, which was commended for its blistering performance, handling, and its ability to make you "smile from ear to ear". Again the speed limit assist and interior plastics cropped up as complaints, and we felt it also had a poor turning circle. Marketplace journalist Josh Nevett was a fan of the BYD Dolphin, as evidenced by his score of 8.2 for the top-spec Premium. Though we think it's an "acquired taste", we liked the Dolphin's interior layout and were impressed by its extensive list of standard gear. Its interior practicality and space scored highly, along with its efficiency and cost of ownership. As for its 150kW/310Nm electric powertrain, we felt it had plenty of poke and did well to get the car moving at a reasonable pace. We weren't as keen on its driver assist technology, as the semi-autonomous driving system was found to be twitchy and struggled to stay in its lane on the freeway. In the same setting, we also thought there was too much wind noise. Its mix of interior materials wasn't ideal either, but the Dolphin proved to be a solid option in the budget electric hatch world. Mazda's second-smallest hatch may not be what it once was, but it's still a competitive option in the segment and was given a rating of 8.0 by marketplace journalist Max Davies. We feel it's a good-looking car backed up with loads of tech for both infotainment and safety, which was bolstered by the inclusion of the Vision Technology Package on our mid-spec tester. Our car was also the most expensive Mazda 3 variant to be fitted with a 2.0-litre engine, which meant its performance was merely acceptable rather than being anything impressive. It at least handled confidently with sporty inclinations, something that reflected positively on the car's driving experience and overall score. If you could get past a slightly smaller cabin and some hiccups with its driver monitoring, we'd say the Mazda 3 was still a good buy for the segment. The final car to crack the top five was the Subaru Impreza, which in its base 2.0L guise scored 7.8. Subaru has cemented the Impreza in its lineup over the years, and its 2.0-litre naturally aspirated boxer with all-wheel drive is a formula it continues to stick with. For that reason we felt it had a comfortable ride and benefited from well-calibrated safety tech, while it had strong interior tech despite its base model leanings. Its price is also among the lowest on this list, another selling point for Subaru's smallest hatch. While its drivetrain is a tried-and-tested setup, its boxer engine was deemed to merely be adequate with uninspiring performance. Like the Mazda 3, it's just enough to get the car moving comfortably without being anything too flashy. Its boot space is also compromised, and we were disappointed you get a urethane steering wheel instead of a leather-wrapped option. The Impreza is overall a solid car, but not particularly exciting.
