365 betfred TORONTO — Canada's main stock index eked out a gain Friday as a rise in tech stocks helped outweigh losses in energy, while U.S. markets were mixed after employment reports on both sides of the border. The S&P/TSX composite index closed up 11.76 points at 25,691.80. In New York, the Dow Jones industrial average was down 123.19 points at 44,642.52. The S&P 500 index was up 15.16 points at 6,090.27, reaching another all-time high, while the Nasdaq composite was up 159.05 points at 19,859.77, another record. Both Canada and the U.S. got fresh jobs data on Friday, but the two reports painted very different pictures, said Pierre-Benoît Gauthier, vice-president of investment strategy at IG Wealth Management. U.S. employers hired more than expected last month but the unemployment rate also ticked higher to 4.2 per cent. “This report was just good enough,” said Gauthier — not too weak, but also not too strong. The report sealed expectations that the U.S. Federal Reserve will announce a quarter-percentage-point interest rate cut later in December, said Gauthier. It shows the economy continues to handle higher rates well, he added. In Canada, the economy added 51,000 jobs in November, while the unemployment rate jumped to 6.8 per cent. The jobs number was undermined by the fact the gain was mainly public-sector hiring, said Gauthier. “The federal government creating jobs is in no way, shape or form an indication of the strength of the Canadian economy,” he said. The Bank of Canada is set to cut next week, and Gauthier thinks it could be an outsized half-percentage-point cut. “The rate cuts here cannot come fast enough,” he said. But the Bank of Canada will need to keep an eye on the increasing differential between rates in the U.S. and Canada, he added, which could put further downward pressure on the already weak Canadian dollar. “The Bank of Canada will be stuck between a rock and a hard place, because at some point they'll still have to defend the Canadian dollar," he said. A lower Canadian dollar could also result in some inflation as imports from the U.S. cost more. The Canadian dollar traded for 70.74 cents US compared with 71.24 cents US on Thursday. The January crude oil contract was down US$1.10 at US$67.20 per barrel and the January natural gas contract was essentially unchanged at US$3.08 per mmBTU. The February gold contract was up US$11.20 at US$2,659.60 an ounce and the March copper contract was up a penny at US$4.20 a pound. — With files from The Associated Press This report by The Canadian Press was first published Dec. 6, 2024. Jharkhand Assembly elections | Uniform Civil Code, ‘Bangladeshi infiltration’, and other issues: how they resonated with voters

A range of independent TDs are contemplating the prospect of entering Ireland’s next coalition government as Fianna Fail and Fine Gael consider ways to secure a solid majority. Three long days of counting in the General Election finished late on Monday night when the final two seats were declared in the constituency of Cavan-Monaghan. Fianna Fail was the clear winner of the election, securing 48 of the Dail parliament’s 174 seats. Sinn Fein took 39 and Fine Gael 38. Labour and the Social Democrats both won 11 seats; People Before Profit-Solidarity took three; Aontu secured two; and the Green Party retained only one of its 12 seats. Independents and others accounted for 21 seats. The return of a Fianna Fail/Fine Gael-led coalition is now highly likely. However, their combined seat total of 86 leaves them just short of the 88 needed for a majority in the Dail. While the two centrist parties that have dominated Irish politics for a century could look to strike a deal with one of the Dail’s smaller centre-left parties, such as the Social Democrats or Labour, a more straightforward route to a majority could be achieved by securing the support of several independent TDs. For Fianna Fail leader Micheal Martin and current taoiseach and Fine Gael leader Simon Harris, wooing like-minded independents would be likely to involve fewer policy concessions, and financial commitments, than would be required to convince another party to join the government benches. Longford-Westmeath independent TD Kevin “Boxer” Moran, who served in a Fine Gael-led minority government between 2017 and 2020, expressed his willingness to listen to offers to join the new coalition in Dublin. “Look, my door’s open,” he told RTE. “Someone knocks, I’m always there to open it.” Marian Harkin, an independent TD for Sligo-Leitrim, expressed her desire to participate in government as she noted that Fianna Fail and Fine Gael were within “shouting distance” of an overall majority. “That means they will be looking for support, and I certainly will be one of those people who will be speaking to them and talking to them and negotiating with them, and I’m looking forward to doing that, because that was the reason that I ran in the first place,” she said. Meanwhile, the Social Democrats and Irish Labour Party both appear cautious about the prospect of an alliance with Fianna Fail and Fine Gael. They will no doubt be mindful of the experience of the Green Party, the junior partner in the last mandate. The Greens experienced near wipeout in the election, retaining only one of their 12 seats. Sinn Fein appears to currently have no realistic route to government, given Fianna Fail and Fine Gael’s ongoing refusal to share power with the party. Despite the odds being stacked against her party, Sinn Fein president Mary Lou McDonald contacted the leaders of the Social Democrats and Labour on Monday to discuss options. Earlier, Fianna Fail deputy leader and outgoing Finance Minister Jack Chambers predicted that a new coalition government would not be in place before Christmas. Mr Chambers said planned talks about forming an administration required “time and space” to ensure that any new government will be “coherent and stable”. After an inconclusive outcome to the 2020 election, it took five months for Fianna Fail, Fine Gael and the Greens to strike the last coalition deal. Mr Chambers said he did not believe it would take that long this time, as he noted the Covid-19 pandemic was a factor in 2020, but he also made clear it would not be a swift process. He said he agreed with analysis that there was no prospect of a deal before Christmas. “I don’t expect a government to be formed in mid-December, when the Dail is due to meet on December 18, probably a Ceann Comhairle (speaker) can be elected, and there’ll have to be time and space taken to make sure we can form a coherent, stable government,” he told RTE. “I don’t think it should take five months like it did the last time – Covid obviously complicated that. But I think all political parties need to take the time to see what’s possible and try and form a stable government for the Irish people.” Fine Gael minister of state Peter Burke said members of his parliamentary party would have to meet to consider their options before giving Mr Harris a mandate to negotiate a new programme for government with Fianna Fail. “It’s important that we have a strong, stable, viable government, whatever form that may be, to ensure that we can meet the challenges of our society, meet the challenges in terms of the economic changes that are potentially going to happen,” he told RTE. Despite being set to emerge with the most seats, it has not been all good news for Fianna Fail. The party’s outgoing Health Minister Stephen Donnelly became one of the biggest casualties of the election when he lost his seat in Wicklow in the early hours of Monday morning. Mr Donnelly was always predicted to face a fight in the constituency after boundary changes saw it reduced from five to four seats. If it is to be a reprise of the Fianna Fail/Fine Gael governing partnership of the last mandate, one of the major questions is around the position of taoiseach and whether the parties will once again take turns to hold the Irish premiership during the lifetime of the new government. The outcome in 2020 saw the parties enter a coalition on the basis that the holder of the premier position would be exchanged midway through the term. Fianna Fail leader Mr Martin took the role for the first half of the mandate, with Leo Varadkar taking over in December 2022. Current Fine Gael leader Mr Harris succeeded Mr Varadkar as taoiseach when he resigned from the role earlier this year. However, this time Fianna Fail has significantly increased its seat lead over Fine Gael, compared with the last election when there were only three seats between the parties. The size of the disparity in party numbers is likely to draw focus on the rotating taoiseach arrangement, raising questions as to whether it will be re-run in the next coalition and, if it is, on what terms. On Sunday, Simon Coveney, a former deputy leader of Fine Gael, said a coalition that did not repeat the rotating taoiseach arrangement in some fashion would be a “difficult proposition” for his party. Meanwhile, Fine Gael minister Paschal Donohoe said he would be making the case for Mr Harris to have another opportunity to serve as taoiseach. On Monday, Mr Chambers said while his party would expect to lead the government it would approach the issue of rotating the taoiseach’s role on the basis of “mutual respect” with Fine Gael. “I think the context of discussions and negotiations will be driven by mutual respect, and that’s the glue that will drive a programme for government and that’s the context in which we’ll engage,” he said. On Monday, Labour leader Ivana Bacik reiterated her party’s determination to forge an alliance with fellow centre-left parties with the intention of having a unified approach to the prospect of entering government. Asked if Labour was prepared to go into government with Fianna Fail and Fine Gael on its own, she told RTE: “No, not at this stage. We are absolutely not willing to do that. “We want to ensure there’s the largest number of TDs who share our vision and our values who want to deliver change on the same basis that we do.” The Social Democrats have been non-committal about any potential arrangement with Fianna Fail and Fine Gael, and have restated a series of red lines they would need to achieve before considering taking a place in government. Leader Holly Cairns, who gave birth to a daughter on polling day on Friday, said in a statement: “The party is in a very strong position to play an important role in the next Dail. In what position, government or opposition, remains to be seen.” Fianna Fail secured the most first preference votes in Friday’s proportional representation election, taking 21.9% to Fine Gael’s 20.8%. Sinn Fein came in third on 19%. While Sinn Fein’s vote share represented a marked improvement on its disappointing showing in June’s local elections in Ireland, it is still significantly down on the 24.5% poll-topping share it secured in the 2020 general election. The final breakdown of first preferences also flipped the result of Friday night’s exit poll, which suggested Sinn Fein was in front on 21.1%, with Fine Gael on 21% and Fianna Fail on 19.5%.

4 easy, comforting bean dishes for fallThe Byadarahalli police are searching for a cab driver who blackmailed his former landlord with private videos and extorted valuables worth ₹1.8 lakh from her. The victim, a 37-year-old homemaker, stated that the accused, identified as Suresh, had been a tenant in a portion of her three-storeyed house for the past three years. The accused befriended the victim and secretly recorded private videos of her, subsequently using them to blackmail her for money. Initially fearing social stigma, the victim succumbed to his demands. However, the accused’s demands escalated, and he recently forcibly took her mobile phone, car, and earrings from her home. The accused targeted the victim when her husband, an ex-CRPF personnel currently employed as a security officer at a private firm, was away at work. He threatened her with dire consequences if she ignored his calls and even shared the private videos with her husband. Unable to endure the harassment, the victim approached the Byadarahalli police and filed a complaint on Tuesday. Based on this complaint, the police have registered an FIR against Suresh under sections 384 (extortion) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the BNS, 2023. Become a Member As we close out another year, December hails as the month of holy celebrations, reflection, and acts of gifting. Frankly speaking, this year calls to mind the maudlin tone of Elvis Presley’s famed ballad “Blue Christmas” (1957) as we aspire to rejoice amid the approaching reality of the January inauguration and a bitter winter. Nevertheless, “art as saving sorceress,” as the mighty Friedrich Nietzsche puts it, swoops in with the potential to bolster our spirits and entertain our souls. In Upstate New York, a round of shows offers happy holiday sentiments all month long. Paintings by Melanie Luna at Gallery 495 in Catskill conjure ethereal realms, while Chie Fueki at Kino Saito in Verplanck presents colorful mixed-media works. William Abranowicz and David Graham present alluring photos at Hawk + Hive, and Kimber and Sam Truitt collaborate on text-based works at Green Kill in Kingston. Caroline Burdett takes us on a walk-about through mystical lands at Pinkwater Gallery in Kingston, while Stephen Towns depicts Black Americans in moments of shared repose and revelry at the Rockwell Museum in Corning. May we take a clue from Elvis, and indulge in saccharine joy despite bluesy realities. Let great art be the wonderous gift of this December season! Melanie Luna: As Above, So Below Gallery 495 , 495 Main Street, Catskill, New York Through December 14 Featuring a series of recent works by Dominican Republic-born Melanie Luna, As Above, So Below at Gallery 495 in Catskill reflects the intensity of an unbalanced world through poignant visions, each a stand-alone chronicle of our times. Taking inspiration from nature and the theoretical writings of Carl Jung, Luna explores the human and the cosmic, setting the stage for us to fill in the blanks with our own experiences. “Andromeda’s Epic” (2024), for example, features a naked nymph-like woman at the edge of raging water. She raises herself upward while a shadow puppet mirroring her posture hangs from her fingertips in a dreamlike scene that suggests the fantasy of escape. In “Tank” (2024), a crimson and ochre-toned tank is ready for action, a chilling reminder of forces of subjugation. “Pale Blue Dot” (2023), which features a sandy, cratered landscape that could be either a far-flung moon or a beach at midnight illuminated by a camera flash, reinforces the curiously disorienting nature of this show. Jung was a pioneer of analytic psychology, and Luna’s work is equally compelling in its journey through conscious and unconscious realms. Daily Weekly Opportunities Chie Fueki: Petal Storm Memory Kino Saito , 115 7th Street, Verplanck, New York Through December 15 Chie Fueki takes us into a sacred realm of her unique design, where disembodied eyes full of longing peek at us from abstract lands laced with familiar objects made supernatural. In “Artemis” (2022), for instance, a shelf of plants and isolated flowers gives way to a star-strewn ocean above which more sets of eyes peer forth. In “Sunrise Sunset” (2023), a spread of cozy houseplants in the foreground sets a perfect stage for the surrealist scene in the background, where enormous eyes in a mountain gaze at us as a red sun blazes forth. “Painting” (2023) is one of my favorites: It features an androgynous-looking cool kid sporting Nike sneakers and a backpack with long hair flowing and paintbrush in hand. In addition to her paintings, a series of mixed media works on paper provide a colorful footnote, including “Yozakura (Minamiota)” (2023), a symphony in blue, and “Yozakura (Gumyoji)” (2023), which beams with pink tones. Jesse Aran Greenberg: Counterpart Turley Gallery , 609 Warren Street, 2nd floor, Hudson, New York Through December 22 Jesse Aran Greenberg explores and explodes form through a series of colorfully chaotic drawings and eccentric sculptures in his solo show Counterpart at Turley Gallery in Hudson. On the one hand, his drawings are environments teeming with musical motion and play; on the other, his sculptural objects are motionless (though still playful). First, the oil pastel drawings: His “Climax 3” (all 2024) bursts forth from a nebulous black shape at the upper right side of the work, setting the stage for “Climax 4,” a jumble of colorful shapes dominated by a blue patch at the center, which eventually gives way to “Climax 5,” where a splash of sprawling forms in the upper left topples to the lower right of the drawing. Then, the sculpture: His pale lime green “Column Survey,” made of urethane plastic and looking something like a cross between a municipal helmet and a kitchen appliance, made me giggle at first sight. William Abranowicz & David Graham: Fictions from the Real World Hawk + Hive , 61 Main Street, Andes, New York Through December 22 Two seasoned photographers come together with a series of atmospheric artworks in Fictions from the Real World at Hawk + Hive in Andes. William Abranowicz and David Graham take turns in ambiguous documentary-style photographs that suggest the opening lines of either a poetic narrative or a murder mystery. In Graham’s “Clifton’s Cafe, Los Angeles, CA” (2016), for instance, we are transported into a restaurant scene full of folks eating, but the protagonist is a lone man who sits to the left of the scene, sipping coffee with a smudged cross across his wrinkled forehead, most likely from an Ash Wednesday visit to church. His slightly eerie “Private Plane, Teterboro Airport” (2014) features a woman’s foot in a black flat as she sits cross-legged in a leather-heavy section of a posh airplane, offering a peek into someone’s VIP life from afar, as well as a glance into his professional life as a location scout. Abranowicz’s meticulous photos also reflect his life adventures in real-time — works such as “Louis XV, Hotel de Paris, Monte Carlo” (1995) and “Dining Room Station, Czech Republic” (1994) illustrate his globe-trotting as a 25-year contributing photographer to Condé Nast Traveler magazine. Kimber Truitt and Sam Truitt: Dicte: A Triptych & 26 Salvages Green Kill , 229 Greenkill Avenue, Kingston, New York Through December 28 After a year-long daily practice of interacting with 144-word blocks of text, artists and husband-wife team Kimber and Sam Truitt (working collaboratively as T&T art/works) present Dicte: A Triptych and 26 Salvages at Green Kill in Kingston. Truitt and Truitt transposed texts — which include Morse code, stage directions, and prose — to various mediums such as sounds, music, recordings, symbols, photos, movies, and others via their own interpretations. Kimber Truitt’s abstract mixed-media collage paintings “The State (Salvages 11)” (2018) and “Empire (Salvages 15)” (2019) embody the hands-on messiness of art-making as one aspect of this show, while Sam Truitt’s three-screen, audio-visual work “Dicte” (2012–13) and text-heavy works on paper with slightly illegible titles such as “Water (Shatshfatee 1, white)” (2024) and “Stick Stick (Shatshfatee)” (2024) utilize language as a metaphor for the deluge of information in today’s digital world. By Moonlight: The Magical Landscapes of Caroline Burdett Pinkwater Gallery , 237 Front Street, Kingston, New York Through January 7, 2025 The title of this show embodies its dreamy ambiance: By Moonlight: The Magical Landscapes of Caroline Burdett at Pinkwater Gallery in Kingston offers a warm and welcoming path of escape through painting. Working in rich tones reminiscent of the Fauvists, Burdett orchestrates a vibrant vista in each of her works, often transforming natural locales into quasi-abstract environments that border on surrealist. “The Cave” (all works 2024), for instance, features milky waterfalls that land at different points within a deep green and purple landscape as a hazy sun (or moon) fades away from a pink horizon line, leaving a sumptuous glow. Perhaps it is that same sun-moon and mystical flow of water that passes through “The First Time” and finally arrives as a pinkish patch of shadow in the background of “California.” Burdett keeps us searching, inviting us to swim further into the liquid energy of works such as “Hush,” where the distant moon commands the sky with its graceful gleam as a teeny turquoise coyote looks out onto a lost yet lovely world. Erica Hauser: No Ordinary Blue Robin Rice Gallery , 234 Warren Street, Hudson, New York Through January 15, 2025 Taking inspiration from artists such as Ellsworth Kelly and designers such as Sonia Delaunay and bolstered by her experience as a seasonal wood stacker for her father’s firewood business, Erica Hauser’s paintings are an exquisite exercise in pattern and placement. No Ordinary Blue at Robin Rice Gallery in Hudson presents a series of recent hard-edged works that extol the moodiness of blue. Employing universal shapes as her main characters and referencing song lyrics for titles, Hauser teases out a dramatic storyline. In “Rivertown Blue II” (all works 2024), several plump circles in shades of white, gray, and blue stack up one on top of the other against a cobalt backdrop. “No Ordinary Blue II” features two white forms that gracefully connect while a rich Yves Klein-inspired blue surrounds their moment of meeting. Her vibrant “Jukebox Blues” features a symphony of forms that vibrate with excitement, as if boogying to a beat that lifts us along as it goes. Stephen Towns’ Private Paradise: A Figurative Exploration of Black Rest and Recreation The Rockwell Museum , 111 Cedar Street, Corning, New York Through January 19, 2025 Inspired by photographs of Paradise Park — a segregated park in Silver Springs, Florida that operated from 1949 to 1969 — by the late underwater photographer (Robert) Bruce Mozert, Stephen Towns’ Private Paradise: A Figurative Exploration of Black Rest and Recreation at the Rockwell Museum in Corning is a celebration of the individuals “who made the park a magical place to visit,” as the artist put it in a promotional video for the show . Exploring the complexities of Black American history through paintings, fabric collaged works, and quilting, Towns brings to life the stories of people who found refuge and revelry at Paradise Park. Using reflective materials and bright fabrics, quilted works such as “Looking for Lorraine” (2024) and “I Will Follow You My Dear” (2024) feature faceless women in patterned bathing suits relaxing on the beach reading magazines and swimming underwater among fish and fauna, respectively. The painting “Taking Flight” (2022) features three serious-looking boys with kites next to a sublimely turquoise body of water, while “When We Were Young” (2022) includes a pack of smiling children in swimming gear, each one beaming with the prospect of a day of carefree fun. Towns comments that the glittery, radiant material used in his artworks represents his “new idea of God and energy” with the hope that others feel this natural warmth and are inspired to look further into the history of Black communities in America. Lisbeth Firmin, Patrice Lorenz & Angela Rose Voulgarelis: The Red Thread 1053 Gallery , 1053 Main Street, Fleischmanns, New York Through January 26, 2025 Addressing complex themes including female archetypes, the divine feminine, and thorny issues around sexism, The Red Thread at 1053 Gallery in Fleischmanns features the work of three women artists based in Upstate New York. Curated by gallery directors Lindsay Comstock and Monte Wilson, the show includes mixed-media paintings, prints, and drawings by Lisbeth Firmin, Patrice Lorenz, and Angela Rose Voulgarelis. Firmin’s “Woman with Child (Madonna)” (2023) embodies the power of motherhood: A woman and her resting child ride the subway, her arm tightly holding her kid close as she dozes off under a pair of oversized sunglasses. In Lorenz’s “Eve” (2024), a lone woman heavily painted in dark tones stares off the canvas; a round orb to her left anchors the composition. Voulgarelis’s “Out of Body II” (2024) is an abstract-expressionist vision of a muscular arm that reaches upward against a strong red background. SHABOOM: Presumed Ignorant Art Omi , 1405 County Route 22, Ghent, New York Through January 26, 2025 Art Omi and Shandaken Projects partnered to co-produce and present SHABOOM: PRESUMED IGNORANT , the collective’s first institutional presentation, at Art Omi in Ghent and surrounding areas. Founded by multi-disciplinary artists Silky Shoemaker, Paul Soileau, and Lex Vaughn, SHAMBOOM draws upon ’90s-era court TV melodramas with a full-scale installation at the gallery, plus a series of commissioned billboards and happenings. Employing the antics of slapstick-meets-cheeky comedy peppered with an in-your-face ethos of “anything goes,” the collective entertains in a low-brow style that embodies the carnivalesque. Curated by Sara O’Keeffe and Guy Weltchek, the haphazard installation — featuring hand-drawn posters, cardboard cutout figures, and numerous other oddities — was activated by SHABOOM’s performance at the opening, which was full of crude antics and cheap thrills. With their faithful two-part motto — “the show must go on!” and “everything must go!” — the collective borders on absurdist catastrophe in the giddiest of ways. We hope you enjoyed this article! And while police claimed their investigators questioned the poster pasters, printing press and the beneficiaries of the content on posters, the impunity with which public properties are defaced indicates laxity in the enforcement of the Prevention of Defacement of Property Act. Hawker Mohammad Yasin Ansari said such acts tarnished the city's aesthetics. "But nobody objects to the pasting because doing so culminates in arguments and scuffles," he said. Lawyer Sube Singh pointed out how the posters were layered on top of each other. "If someone posts something, others paste theirs above it and more, in turn, place theirs on top of that, creating an overall unsightly scene," he said. On the flyover connecting Kashmere Gate to northeast Delhi, there are a plethora of posters of political parties. The flyover near Andrews Ganj in south Delhi is pockmarked by paper. In Saket, political party posters take up all the wall space along Birla Vidya Niketan Marg. Ajay Pratap, a resident of Chirag Delhi, said that these posters increase during elections. Near Tis Hazari Courts, the irony of signs warning against pasting of posters being merrily flouted couldn't be missed. Madan Kumar, 47, a Bhajanpura resident who was at the court, shrugged and said as soon as the authorities removed the posters and repainted the walls, new ones appeared routinely. At a flyover near Monastery Market, the beautiful graffiti inscribed for the G20 Summit last year has been marred by posters. Someone has scribbled six-seven lines in Hindi at one spot. The law prescribes a prison term of up to six months and a fine of up to Rs 1,000 or both for defacing public property by "writing or marking with ink, chalk, paint, or any other material, except for the purpose of indicating the memo and address of the owner or occupier of such property". A senior police officer said cases were registered based on complaints or when the cops take cognisance of the offence themselves. "We send notices and violators are made to join the investigation, or are bound down, or apprehended," the officer added. The cops revealed that most beneficiaries of posters plead they weren't directly involved in defacing public property.Kadant Inc. (NYSE:KAI) Shares Purchased by Franklin Resources Inc.

On a podcast with BBC’s Nick Robinson, Meta’s president of global affairs, Nick Clegg, talked about how Elon Musk is “playing an outsized role in both the election and now the formation of the new U.S. administration.” Clegg said he thinks that Elon Musk has a “choice” when it comes to his political future: to be an “avid and well-heeled supporter” or to become a “puppet master, going well beyond Trump, deciding who the next Republican candidate should be and the one after that, and so on, so forth.” He stopped short of saying the SpaceX billionaire is a threat to democracy, but he did say that being a “puppet master” who influences candidate selection for years to come is “quite different to the general tradition of American democracy.”NoneZoom Communications Reports Financial Results for the Third Quarter of Fiscal Year 2025

This was another busy week for Bayern Munich loanees with a few of their teams active in European competitions. Unfortunately the only team that won in European play this week was Sturm Graz, but Zvonarek has been missing from their squad the last few matchdays. On the women’s side, it was a relatively calm week, as only one loanee — Natalia Padilla — was called into their national team for this week’s international window, but she had a huge impact in an important game. FC Bayern Munich There are nine players on loan from the first team. Germany – Bundesliga There are five players on loan in the German Bundesliga: Alexander Nübel, Franz Krätzig, Paul Wanner, Armando Sieb, and Gabriel Vidović. Alexander Nübel – VfB Stuttgart Nübel and Stuttgart did not have a pleasant trip to Serbia this week. Against Red Star Belgrade, Nübel only produced two saves but gave up a total of five goals. He was also credited with an error that directly led one of the goals. Not a great night for Stuttgart, even after they took an early 1-0 lead in the fifth minute. Red Star’s five unanswered goals brought the final score to 5-1 in favor of the hosts. In the return to Germany and to league play, Stuttgart was away to Werder Bremen. Stuttgart started in goal and went the full 90 minutes. His stats were almost opposite of the midweek Champions League match — he saved four attempts on goal and only allowed two goals. Stuttgart equalized twice, but was unable to find a winner, so they split the points on the road with a 2-2 draw. Stuttgart will be on the road to Jahn Regensburg — who sit at bottom of the 2. Bundesliga table at the moment — in the DFB-Pokal on Tuesday. They will finally be back home on Friday to take on Union Berlin. Franz Krätzig – VfB Stuttgart Krätzig was not in the lineups for either of the games this week, nor did he appear for the second team in the 3. Liga. Paul Wanner – 1.FC Heidenheim Heidenheim had the pleasure of playing two matches at home this week, but neither of them went well. On Thursday, they hosted Chelsea in the Conference League. Although they held the once European champions scoreless through the first half, they fell 2-0. Wanner had three shots on goal throughout the 90 minutes he played and also had a shot blocked. He had one chance created, but missed a big chance to score in his attempts to help his team find a goal. Wanner (10) attempts to take the ball from Chelsea’s Jadon Sancho Photo by Alexander Hassenstein/Getty Images Wanner started again for Heidenheim on Sunday as they welcomed Frankfurt in league play. He was unable to get a shot off or create a chance for his teammates to shoot in the first half, and was subbed off at the break when his team was down just 1-0. Wanner would watch his team concede three more goals without scoring any to bring the final score to 4-0. Heidenheim — already out of the Pokal — will only travel to Munich to face Bayern on Saturday. Armando Sieb – 1. FSV Mainz 05 Two early goals were enough to give Mainz a home win against Hoffenheim. Sieb was on the bench, but did not come onto the pitch until one minute into stoppage time. Even with a 2-0 lead Sieb was hungry. With just three touches, he shot three times — one was on target and the other two went just wide. The match ended with a 2-0 win. Mainz will travel to face Wolfsburg in league play on Sunday. Gabriel Vidović – 1. FSV Mainz 05 Vidović is still on the injury list with his ankle injury, but last week’s prognosis was probably too positive. It was hopeful that he could return mid December, but now he is listed to be out until late February. Spain – LaLiga Bryan Zaragoza is the only player on loan to Spain’s LaLiga. Bryan Zaragoza – CA Osasuna Osasuna has not played since last writing. They will travel to face Sevilla on Monday. They will also be on the road to AD Cueta FC in the Copa del Ray before hosting Deportivo Alaves in league play on Sunday. Austria – Bundesliga Lovro Zvonarek is the only player from the first team on loan to the Austrian Bundesliga. Lovro Zvonarek – Sturm Graz Zvonarek was not on the matchday squad for Sturm Graz’ Champions League 1-0 win over Girona — the first win in over 20 years and the first points earned in this campaign. He was also missing in action for the 1-1 road draw against Altach. Sturm Graz will be on the road against WSG Tirol on Saturday. Germany – 2. Bundesliga Maurice Krattenmacher is the only player from the first team on loan to the 2. Bundesliga Maurice Krattenmacher – SSV Ulm 1846 Krattenmacher started for Ulm against Greuther Fürth on Sunday. Former Bayern product, Julian Green started the scoring for Fürth from the penalty spot. Though Krattenmacher was unable to record a short or create a chance for his teammates to shoot, he was taken down in the box to earn a penalty, which his teammate converted in stoppage time of the first half. Krattenmacher was subbed off in the 88th minute. The final score was 1-1 from the first half penalties. Ulm have drawn the last five matches and are winless in seven matches. They will face Lee’s Hannover 96 on the road on Saturday. Germany – 3. Liga Gibson Nana Adu is the only player on loan from the first team in the 3. Liga. Gibson Nana Adu – Unterhaching Adu started for Unterhaching against league leaders Energie Cottbus on the road. He and his teammates were unable to find a goal in the first half, but went down 1-0 in the first half. An Unterhaching own goal made it 2-0 just before Adu was subbed off. The final score would be 2-0. Unterhaching will host Hannover 96 II on Saturday. FC Bayern Munich II There are twelve players on loan from the second team. Germany – 2. Bundesliga Hyun-ju Lee is the only player from the second team loaned out to the 2. Bundesliga Hyun-ju Lee – Hannover 96 Lee was on the bench to see his team go down a goal and a man before rescuing a point on the road via a Köln own goal in the 88th minute, but never made it onto the pitch for the 2-2 draw. Hannover will host Ulm and Krattenmacher on Saturday. Germany – 3. Liga Max Scholze is the only player from the second team on loan to the 3. Liga Max Scholze – SC Verl Scholze was on the bench for SC Verl’s 5-2 road win against Erzgebirge Aue, but did not make it onto the pitch. Verl will host Saarbrücken on Friday. Germany – Regionalliga There are six players Regionalliga teams: Lukas Schneller and Marko Popović in Regionalliga Bayern, Luka Parkadge and Robert Deziel Jr in Regionalliga Nordost, and Yousef Qashi and Benedikt Wimmer in Regionalliga West. Lukas Schneller – Schweinfurt 05 Schneller started in goal and played the full 90 minutes as usual for Schweinfurt. He kept the clean sheet, but unfortunately his teammates were unable to score and they split the points with a 0-0 draw. Schneller and Schweinfurt go into the winter break atop Regionalliga Bayern with 45 points and a goal differential of 26. They are ahead by three points and have a four point lead over Bayern II. It has been a very successful first half for Schneller and his team. They will return to play in March. Marko Popović – Türkgücü München A match this weekend between Hankofen-Hailing and Türkgücü was postponed. In a stark contrast to Schneller and Schweinfurt, Popović and Türkgücü sit in dead last place with only ten points and a -22 goal differential. They have one more game on Saturday, against Greuther Fürth II. Luka Parkadze – Altglienicke The match between Altglienicke and FSV 63 Luckenwalde was postponed this weekend. Robert Deziel Jr – Altglienicke Altglienicke will travel to Leipzig to take on league leaders, 1.FC Lok Leipzig. Yousef Qashi – Wupertaler SV Qashi was on the bench for the start of the match between Wupertaler SV and FC Gütersloh. He entered the match in the 64th minute with his team already up two goals and the scoreline would not change. Benedikt Wimmer – Wupertaler SV Wimmer started for Wupertaler and played the full 90 minutes. He was able to help the defense keep the shutout, while the attack scored two goals and together earned a 2-0 win for the home team. Wupertaler will host Türkspor Dortmund on Saturday. Austria – Bundesliga Matteo Pérez Vinlöf is the only player on loan to the Austrian Bundesliga from the second team. Matteo Pérez Vinlöf – Austria Wien Vinlöf started for Austria Wien away to LASK.
