Nicole Scherzinger passionately kisses co-star Tom Francis in steamy moment during their Sunset Boulevard performance after 'working with intimacy coach for sex scenes' Have YOU got a story? Ahead of treading the boards, Nicole - who is engaged to rugby ace Thom Evans - reportedly worked with an intimacy coach to help her with her sex scenes with her co-star amid the musical's run in the West End. And it's clear the hard work paid off as Nicole and Tom oozed chemistry in exclusive snaps from their award-winning performance, after the latest revival of the show headed to Broadway in October. Dressed in a black slip dress with a white bandage on her hand, Nicole appeared fully immersed in her role as she gazed at Tom, who donned a black suit with a white T-shirt. The musical tells the story of silent-film star Norma, who dreams of making her comeback and enlists the help of a struggling screenwriter. Close also returned for the West End revival in 2016 and the Broadway revival in 2017, though Scherzinger, 46, starred in the 2023 West End revival. She took home the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical, and following a successful preview run - taking in $1 million in the first week - the show opened in earnest in October at the St. James Theatre. Nicole has received numerous standing ovations throughout her Broadway debut so far, including one, according to People , that lasted a whopping six minutes. Last year, it was reported that theatre bosses hired award-winning movement director Ingrid Mackinnon to help prepare Nicole for her intimate scenes with her co-star Tom, according to The Sun . An insider on the show told the publication: 'Intimacy coordinators are mandatory now because actors need to feel safe with their co-stars. The New York City audience let their feelings known as the 46-year-old leading lady bowed to the crowd after her turn as Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard earlier this month. While most in the venue were cheering, a few audible boos also rang out, days after Nicole's MAGA leanings became public knowledge. Scherzinger - who has had a history of puzzling political takes - was slammed over two posts. Nicole recently admitted that despite her success in theatre, she had initially felt 'discarded' by the industry following her pop career. She told People: 'I'm [46] years old. I've never been more strong — physically, mentally, emotionally. I'm in my prime. There is no better time for me to create work that is meaningful in this world. 'That's the tragedy: is that you're in the best place in your life. You're so full, you have so much to give, and people have discarded you, and dismissed you and said 'Your time's up...'' Nicole then insisted that it has been her 'lifelong dream' to make it to The Great White Way, which comes after appearances in shows like Cats and Rent since her pop heyday. According to Cam Inman , the 49ers are signing CB Nick McCloud to the 53-man roster. McCloud takes the place of WR Ronnie Bell who was waived on Friday. Additionally, the 49ers are elevating LB Jalen Graham and OL Sebastian Gutierrez from the practice squad to the active roster. McCloud, 26, originally signed with the Bills as an undrafted free agent out of Notre Dame in 2021. After spending training camp in Buffalo, McCloud was claimed off waivers by the Bengals. McCloud spent two months in Cincinnati before the Bengals waived him and he caught on with the Bills’ practice squad in 2021. He re-signed to Buffalo on a futures deal in 2022 and was claimed by the Giants coming out of training camp. New York re-signed him as a restricted free agent in 2024 but waived him in November before he caught on with the 49ers practice squad. In 2024, McCloud has appeared in nine games for the Giants and 49ers and recorded 14 total tackles, one tackle for loss and one pass deflection. New York Jets interim coach Jeff Ulbrich said Aaron Rodgers “absolutely” will remain the team's starting quarterback and start Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks. Rodgers, who turns 41 next Monday, has been hampered at times during the Jets' 3-8 start by various injuries to his left leg, including a sore knee, sprained ankle and balky hamstring. Ulbrich said Monday the quarterback came back from the team's bye-week break ready to go. “All I can say, and you'd have to ask Aaron if he's fully healthy, but he's better off today than he's been as of late,” Ulbrich said. "So he's definitely feeling healthier than he has probably for the past month. A healthy Aaron Rodgers is the Aaron Rodgers we all love. “So, I'm excited about what that looks like.” NFL Network reported on Sunday that Rodgers, who missed all but four snaps last season with a torn left Achilles tendon, has declined having medical scans on his injured leg so he can continue to play. GM: The New York Jets are turning to one of their former general managers to help them find their next GM and head coach. The franchise announced Monday that The 33rd Team, a football media, analytics and consulting group founded by former Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum, will assist team owner Woody Johnson in the searches. Tannenbaum and Rick Spielman, former GM of the Miami Dolphins and Minnesota Vikings, will be The 33rd Team's primary representatives in helping find replacements for former coach Robert Saleh and GM Joe Douglas. SANTA CLARA, Calif. — San Francisco quarterback Brock Purdy took part in some light throwing on Monday after missing his first career game because of an injury and the 49ers are hoping he can return this week. Purdy hurt his throwing shoulder during a loss to Seattle on Nov. 17. Purdy underwent two MRIs last week that showed no structural damage. But Purdy he felt discomfort after making a few throws at practice on Thursday and was shut down for the game at Green Bay on Sunday that San Francisco lost 38-10. Coach Kyle Shanahan said Monday that Purdy made it through the session without pain and will rest on Tuesday and hopefully be able to return to practice on Wednesday as the Niners prepare to play at Buffalo this coming week. “We rested it throughout the weekend hoping that would help,” Shanahan said. “He threw lighter today to see if that rest helps and the rest did help him. So we’ll see again, going through the same things we did last week. We’re going to let him rest all the way up to Wednesday. We’ll see how it feels on Wednesday and then we’ll take the exact same course throughout the week. Hopefully it responds better this week than it did last week with the rest.” Brandon Allen went 17 for 29 for 199 yards with a touchdown, an interception and a lost fumble in his first start since the 2021 season. Allen would play once again if Purdy is unable to go on Sunday at Buffalo. FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — The NFL removed New England Patriots safety Jabrill Peppers from the commissioner exempt list on Monday, making him eligible to participate in practice and play in the team’s games. Peppers missed seven games since being placed on the list on Oct. 9 after he was arrested and charged with shoving his girlfriend’s head into a wall and choking her. The league said its review is ongoing and is not affected by the change in Peppers’ roster status. Braintree, Massachusetts, police said they were called to a home for an altercation between two people on Oct. 7, and a woman told them Peppers choked her. Police said they found at the home a clear plastic bag containing a white powder, which later tested positive for cocaine. Peppers, 29, pleaded not guilty in Quincy District Court to charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and possession of a Class “B” substance believed to be cocaine. At a court appearance last week a trial date was set for Jan. 22. HENDERSON, Nev. — Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Gardner Minshew is out for the rest of the season with a broken collarbone, coach Antonio Pierce said Monday. Minshew was injured with 3:12 left in Sunday's 29-19 loss to the Denver Broncos. Pierce will have to decide whether Aidan O'Connell or Desmond Ridder will start Friday's game at Kansas City. The Raiders, who have lost seven consecutive games to fall to 2-9, could use a spark. Minshew's grip on the starting job was tenuous even before he was injured. He threw 10 interceptions to just nine touchdown passes this season and Minshew also lost four fumbles. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence will practice Monday and “we'll see where he's at from there,” coach Doug Pederson said. Lawrence missed the past two games, losses to Minnesota and Detroit, with a sprained left shoulder. Lawrence had extra time to rest during Jacksonville's bye week. The Jaguars (2-9) host AFC South-leading Houston (7-5) on Sunday and need a victory to avoid being eliminated from playoff contention. Pederson said Lawrence is “feeling better" and they will know more about his playing status following practice Wednesday. Lawrence took a hit to his left shoulder while scrambling at Philadelphia on Nov. 3. Instead of sliding, he chose to go head-first and got hammered by linebacker Zack Baun. Lawrence has practiced some in a limited role since, but was inactive for both games. BRIEFLY LIONS: Detroit wide receiver Jameson Williams won't be charged with a crime after he was found with a gun in a car driven by his brother in October. Prosecutor Kym Worthy says Michigan law is “far from clear” when applied to the 1 a.m. traffic stop in Detroit. Get local news delivered to your inbox!

There are plenty of awesome Black Friday deals hitting the internet, but if you're deal hunting for a small monitor from yesteryear, it's probably time to upgrade. Thankfully, Samsung has a few 32:9 super ultrawide monitors on sale during Black Friday. The one to get is 2023's Samsung Odyssey G9 OLED, on sale for $1,079 , which is 40% off the retail price. That's a savings of $721 and the lowest price it's ever been on Amazon (by $1). It's a blazing-fast 240Hz gaming monitor with a deeply rich second-gen OLED display. Because it's OLED, the response times are near instantaneous at 0.03ms. And at a 5,120x1,440 resolution, it's like having two 1440p monitors side by side. Do note that you'll need a beefy gaming PC to run games at this resolution and framerate, but for home office tasks, any computer will do. While Samsung does have a newer variant of this monitor (G95SD), which boasts a third-gen OLED panel and an antiglare coating, it's not worth paying an extra $1,000 for. If the OLED variant is a bit out of your price range, there's a VA version that's on sale as well. The standard Samsung Odyssey G9 is on sale for $760 , which is $540 off the retail price. This is the lowest price this monitor has been on at Amazon. It boasts many specs similar to the OLED version, like a 32:9 aspect ratio, a 5,120x1,440 resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate. Because it's a VA panel, it sports deep black levels, just not as deep as those of an OLED display. While Samsung advertises this monitor as having a 1ms response time, that's not the case. Reviews of past VA Samsung panels show a response time as being 7.9ms, which is still insanely fast, just not as fast as OLED. At the introduction of super ultrawide 32:9 monitors, they were seen as inaccessibly expensive or too niche for average buyers. But as panel technology, especially OLED tech, has gotten cheaper, it's become more attainable. Given that more people are working from home, having access to more screen real estate makes managing multiple documents and emails easier. Speaking from personal experience, after using a 32:9 monitor for the last few years, it's hard to go back. Having all my web pages and documents available all at once, with Slack windows to either side, makes me more productive. Plus, the fast response times on OLED have improved my Overwatch 2 gameplay. The S&P 500 ended 0.7% higher after having been down 0.5% in the early going. The Dow Jones Industrial Average also recovered from an early slide to eke out a 0.2% gain. The tech-heavy Nasdaq composite rose 1%. Gains in technology and communications stocks accounted for much of the gains, outweighing losses in consumer goods companies and elsewhere in the market. Semiconductor giant Nvidia, whose enormous valuation gives it an outsize influence on indexes, rose 3.7%. Broadcom climbed 5.5% to also help support the broader market. Walmart fell 2% and PepsiCo slid 1%. Japanese automakers Honda and Nissan said they are talking about combining in a deal that might also include Mitsubishi Motors. U.S.-listed shares in Honda jumped 12.7%, while Nissan ended flat. Eli Lilly rose 3.7% after announcing that regulators approved Zepbound as the first and only prescription medicine for adults with sleep apnea. Department store Nordstrom fell 1.5% after it agreed to be taken private by Nordstrom family members and a Mexican retail group in a $6.25 billion deal. All told, the S&P 500 rose 43.22 points to 5,974.07. The Dow gained 66.69 points to 42,906.95. The Nasdaq rose 192.29 points to 19,764.89. Traders got a look at a new snapshot of U.S. consumer confidence Monday. The Conference Board said that consumer confidence slipped in December. Its consumer confidence index fell back to 104.7 from 112.8 in November. Wall Street was expecting a reading of 113.8. The unexpectedly weak consumer confidence update follows several generally strong economic reports last week. One report showed the overall economy grew at a 3.1% annualized rate during the summer, faster than earlier thought. The latest report on unemployment benefit applications showed that the job market remains solid. A report on Friday said a measure of inflation the Federal Reserve likes to use was slightly lower last month than economists expected. Worries about inflation edging higher again had been weighing on Wall Street and the Fed. The central bank just delivered its third cut to interest rates this year, but inflation has been hovering stubbornly above its target of 2%. It has signaled that it could deliver fewer cuts to interest rates next year than it earlier anticipated because of concerns over inflation. Expectations for more interest rate cuts have helped drive a roughly 25% gain for the S&P 500 in 2024. That drive included 57 all-time highs this year. Inflation concerns have added to uncertainties heading into 2025, which include the labor market’s path ahead and shifting economic policies under an incoming President Donald Trump. “Put simply, much of the strong market performance prior to last week was driven by expectations that a best-case scenario was the base case for 2025,” said Brent Schutte, chief investment officer at Northwestern Mutual Wealth Management Company Treasury yields rose in the bond market. The yield on the 10-year Treasury rose to 4.59% from 4.53% late Friday. European markets closed mostly lower, while markets in Asia gained ground. Wall Street has several other economic reports to look forward to this week. On Tuesday, the U.S. will release its November report for sales of newly constructed homes. A weekly update on unemployment benefits is expected on Thursday. Markets in the U.S. will close at 1 p.m. Eastern on Tuesday for Christmas Eve and will remain closed on Wednesday for Christmas.
